At the beginning of the month we told you of a special airing of American Idol
featuring stars from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, as well as other well know actors and singers. The show aired last night and tonight, benefiting CPEF but as some of you have pointed out Daniel Radclife did not appear as expected.
We do however have video of Helena and other stars lip-syncing to the Bee Gees "Stayin' Alive."

We will try to update this story as to why Dan did not appear.

Awwww! I was looking forward to seeing Dan when the show is on ITV 2 in the UK tomorrow. Flipping "Technical Difficulties". I hope they show Dan's clip online at least.

I thought the show was fantastic, and it was for a good cause. You can't fault them for that! If they had technical difficulty I'm sure they were as unhappy about it as the rest of us.

Hugh Laurie made me laugh. I was like GAH! And started giggling...it's nice to see that even actors can cut loose and have fun like us. They tend to live very stressed lives. I also liked seeing some of the cast from Friends, Ms. Piggie, and Helena. YAY for the actors who do things for charity

wonder why Dan was there though? was kind of looking forward to him being on there. it would have given me a reason to watch that show.

I totally watched every second of the show last night hoping to see Dan but no such luck. I was amused by Helena Bonham Carter's appearance and loved all the stars, that was a great video.
I don't like AI but for these two I watched and I even donated to the cause.
