As has been rumored on the web, HPANA can now confirm several premieres of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix around the world this year.
Japan will once again be honored with a red carpet premiere (possibly the world premiere, June 28, unconfirmed). The Odeon Leicester Square in London will host that country's premiere on July 3. Los Angeles will see an event July 8.

Why would anyone choose Japan for a Harry Potter world premiere? No offense, but they don't deserve it. England does! I mean, everything in Harry Potter is English. It's just plain old common sense to keep the world premiere in its native country.
And LA? The last premiere in LA was COS, or was it PP?
The year on plan on going is the year they take the premiere away from New York.
This day is getting worse by the second.
Why have they decided to change everything?!

I agree with the vein of most of the posts - why Japan?!! I'm sorry, but JK Rowling is from the UK - therefore the World Premiere should be either in London or Edinburgh. Imagine that - a Scottish world premiere!
Of course, Australia gets no big celebration (sob!).
At least we premiere the movie for the general public on the 12th of July - woo-hoo!!
