Last month a Warner Bros. representative reviewed
areas in Scotland for filming locations for the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is set to start filming later this year. The locations featured caves and cliffs which may suit key scenes in the movie.
The main locations that were checked out were:
You may remember that in February we had a report that Warner Bros. had also scouted out areas
in Ireland for possible filming. We will all find out later this year which area won out.

I am looking forward to finding out which locations will be chosen. My dream is to go on one of those tours which specializes in showing various locations where scenes from the Potter have been filmed.

Cool, Scotland... I wish I could go there. I just hope they do a good job with the remaining movies. I hope they do not rush or cut corners just to finish the series. It is cool that they are wanting to use an actual cave instead of using a set on a stage. It would feel so much real if it were a real place.

Of course it would have to be the breathtakingly beautiful coast of Scotland... either that, or they could consider the west coast of Tasmania!! Bring filming to Australia - now that's a thought....

Cool! First Ireland, now Scotland. It is a good thing they are travelling different locations. I am rather looking forward to how they are filming the cave with their corpses and the death of Dumbledore falling of a tower. Also, I can't wait to see Harry, Dean, and Ginny love triangle.
It is gonna be a great film, I already love the director David Yates. He knows teenagers' feelings inside out!
Cheers!

Scouting places for HBP already that is so awesome. Scotland would be a beautiful place to film even though the stuff that takes place in the caves isn't exactly beautiful.

They are scouting for the cave where dumbledore drinks from a basin and Harry is helping him drink all of the liquid inside, I remember that chapter well, because immediatly after that someone dies. I can't wait to see HBP, it is my favorite of the released series.

Scotland is so beautiful. I would love to visit it one day - to see Scotland and see the filming of an HP film would be a dream come true. But I guess I'll have to settle just for seeing Scotland one day.

This is so exciting, that scene has to be excellent, that is a lot of pressure on the director-I wish them luck! Number 6 is going to be tough, and I bet so will 7.
