To be honest, I'm not too shocked or anything. I'm not much of a fan for soundtracks, but 18 songs. That's alot. Albums usually have like 14 songs.

Well with names like those I know everyone here can appreciate the level of thought that went into them... at what point in the movie could 'Death of Sirius' possibly be playing. I think, however, that if the music compares with the previous HP escapades then we should have nothing to worry about except maybe an overly shortening of this, the longest, HP book.

I'm not into listening to the scores of movies, but I've always loved the music from Harry Potter. I just might consider this one, Ootp is my favorite of the series, and the song names sound pretty neat. :)

I'll try to go as soon as I can to buy that one, i'm addict to all music from Harry Potter and this one won't make exception, but I wonder if this new composer will remain with the right touch that makes the soundtrack so unique.

I wonder if their are any like, lyrical songs. Like there was on the last one. That'd be cool. Maybe next time. So those titles are alittle intersting....
not givining away more then we allready know though.

Everything seems really cool but i do not think that i will buy the CD because i actully find all of the music kind of boaring because there is so words. I might get it though if they have a few good songs, but i am not sure. I might buy it, but maybe i won't i love the music in the movies, but just not alone.

Does anyone know why John Williams doesn't do the music for the movies anymore? Did he switch when the directors did or I also heard a rumour that he died. Just wondering if anyone knows. The music for the past two movies has been pretty cool. Can't wait!!!!!!!!

Silly Dragon says:
Para-Noir-and-Snape-John Williams is still alive, otherwise the information would certainly have appeared on the official website. I also wondered why he no longer scored the Harry Potter movies, in spite of his excellent musical contribution to the first three episodes. I have not found any relevant information in that regard so far, but my guess is that he has other activities (namely as a conductor) or music to write, which does not leave him time to score the Potter series. I also think that scoring the 7 episodes would have proved quite a challenge, it mut be difficult to find the balance between recurrent themes and new ones matching the evolution of the plot. Other possible reasons might involve contracts, or something of the sort, but I have to do my bit of searching before getting into such considerations.
I wonder how the fireworks will be scored, and I hope the 'Kiss' theme will avoid an excess of lyricism.

I am not really much of one for the movie scores but I am interested this time, I have recently purchased a new phone and I can download the music from a cd I purchase into the phone and use it as my ringtone.
Which is exactly what I want to do with this one.

Nicholas Hooper, eh? John Williams, I feel, has done the best job with the first three soundtracks, and Doyle did an outstanding job on the GOF score. Let's just hope Hooper will do it justice! But I'm sure it'll be a beautiful composition! :D

Well, they weren't trying to be creative concerning the titles, were they? But it's good to know the order of the tracks because it reveals the main plot of the movie.
Oh, and I'll definetely get the cd, I'm sure it will be as wonderful as the previous ones.

Oh dear, 'Loved Ones and Leaving.' That sounds pretty sad. I'm guessing near the end? When Sirius ... you know. Well, I've yet to buy one of the soundtrack CD's, but I really want to. I DID use a couple of the songs for Synchro before though, it's just that you never see those here! I used Fawkes the Phoenix and Double Trouble. Heh, I think my most recent one was One Last Shot, from Pirates of the Caribbean. Heh, good times. No, not really.
