HPANA was in attendance at the press conference for theHarry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie which took place in London earlier today. Stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, producer David Heyman, director David Yates and screenwriter Michael Goldenberg attended and answered questions from the media.
The first press conference with Dan, Emma and Rupert lasted 45 minuets and each answered questions about their life, the movies, the last book and their characters and what they want to do after the series has ended.

After the first press conference we had a chance to hear from producer David Heyman, director David Yates and screenwriter Michael Goldenberg where we heard officially from the David’s that David Yates was directing the sixth movie, which starts filming in September.

. Another interview with Rupert can be read here where he talks about the director, being disappointed with no Quidditch in the movie and the atmosphere on set. Here is an interview with director David Yates from the event. Have to also mention that Katie Leung (Cho Chang) appeared at the hotel after the press conference and was very much incognito.
Was there a difference in how you were directed by Yates to achieve that?
Rupert: I dunno, really. Probably sort of subtle little things. I think, just on the whole, 'cause we've been doing it so long, got to know each other more we're probably more relazed with each other.
I think, also, that he used contemporary music he used (during filming) of some of the Common Room scenes. Like a band called The Ordinary Boys, he'd play that in the Common Room and that gives it some sort of more casual feel.
It's a really good atmosphere as well because he's a really nice guy, really laid back and calm.
So, there wasn't as much pressure for you...
Rupert: Definitely. Well, there's always a little bit of pressure, but it was a really good atmosphere, yeah.

OK, I switched the files so please check to see if you can hear the audio files, they are in WMV if that doesn't work I'll just have to use Quicktime. The format is the same as the first interviews, I can here them so I don't know of how else to fix the problem, sorry guys. Hopefully this will work for you, if not let me know.

It must be so rough to be an actor/actress in a film this big. Think about it you know everything that is going to happen. Even though we know how it ends and what's going to happen they know what its going to look like and how it's goin to be acted out. I dont know if I could do it.

I wish I could read these interviews. The ones you can listen to will never load on my computer. I am sure they were really good.It is always good to hear from the actors. I like to hear their take on things. Afterall they spend the most time with the characters:)

I was having a lot of trouble too because English is not my first language, but listening to it and reading it at the same time helps a lot!
Tina, I know, Dan is the tallest now! What I most like is how listening it, and reading it, you can really feel the great chemistry the 3 of them have. And they are so funny, Daniel made me laugh so much! And I like how he always asks Emma and Rupert if they want to talk first or if there is something else they want to say, or if they agree. I think Katie Leugh is very right when she says Dan makes people feel confortable, because if you liten to the interview he is always supporting what Emma and Rupert say, and when you are talking in front of so many people, it really helps to feel someone supporting you at your side. :)
Bless him, he really keeps it all together.
