Jim Dale, the U.S. narrator of the Harry Potter series, is one of the few people in the world who knows how
the Harry Potter series ends.
Dale finished recording for the audio for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book over two months ago, a process that took two-and-a-half weeks and is sworn to secrecy as to how it ends.
He has recorded every single word of the series, amounting to 117 hours and 4 minutes, won a Grammy and holds the record for creating the most voices in an audiobook in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Mr. Dale will be at the Union Square Barnes & Noble in New York this Friday, July 21 where he will discuss
how he got the role of narrator, how he creates his characters’ voices and read excerpts from the previous books. After the release of the last book in the series he will do a tour of Houston, Washington, Charlotte, N.C. and Philadelphia.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released in hardback, braille, deluxe version and audio Cassette/CD on Friday, July 21st.

Ohh..I love him, I've only had the opportunity to listen to one of the books and it was excellent! If they weren't so expensive I would buy them as well but as it is they are almost a full arm. I wish I could lock him in a room for a few hours though-he would have some great info...;) Oh well only a few more days I suppose.

Oh, how lucky! I love Jim Dale's voices for the characters in Harry Potter. It is always fun to listen to his interpretation of each character.

"...over two months ago"??? Lucky man. I've never listened to audiobooks, but from what I've heard, he's pretty good.

Congrats to Jim. He's done an amazing job with these books and I think he has reaped the benefits also. I don't think there's any hope of him giving away to many hints though. He seems like a devoted fan, after doing all that.

He was great. I love listening to the audio books when I take a long trip somewhere. It sure beats the radio (or trying to read and drive at the same time!).

Wow! That is seriouly awesome! I had actully never even heard the audio books because me and my friend actully read the actural book without help. I wish I could record for the audio books, but I think that it would be really hard and take alot of very hard work to do. I think that it would be really awesome and fun though. I think it is cool he knows how it will soon end, but I also just wish that this was not the last Harry Potter book because it will be really sad.

Actually, I am wishing I had the audio recordings this week. I can't sit down long enough to finish reading but I sure could listen to it as I drive from place to place.

Well, if the audio books were to be released when the books were being released, and Jim Dale did the voice for the audio books, I think it's pretty obvious that he's know how the series ends. Well, we all were gonna find out at different times anyway, and he just found out before us. Doesn't matter - we found out too. Hehe, I wonder how the girl voices sound.
