Scholastic, the U.S. publisher of the Harry Potter series has obtained
a subpoena in the hopes of learning the identity of the culprit who posted scans of pages from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on the web.
We at HPANA have been sent similar items, such as videos and images of the books, and we are working with Scholastic to remove authentic spoilers from the internet so that fans are not spoilt.

Today I stumbled upon a LiveJournal community with spoilers for DH (spoil_me_dh,it's in LJ's spotlight).
I couldn't restrain myself from reading some spoilers ... and I laughed heartily. Most of the "spoilers" there don't seem real at all.
I haven't seen scans of the book itself but I saw scans of the table of contents and it looks pretty real.
I also read some things there that sounded logical but I keep telling myself that this book is fake.
Anyway,we'll just wait a few days and see...

I hope they find who did it and I hope that person gets taken to court and is found guilty. What is the matter with people? Why do they insist on ruining everything for millions of Harry Potter fans? I hope whoever it is, they are punished severely.

Oh man! That's really terrible of them or him or her, whoever, I don't have any respect for those type of people who try to spoil things for us. We've been waiting for years for this book and the last thing we need is a spoiler. I hope they find the culprit.

I just read the scans and the first chapter. I ordered the book and plan on buying the audio book because I will be driving home the night of the release. But WOW the three chapters are on line and I would be brewing mad if I were Scholastic or JK. I recommend they release the Chapter names soon. Or people will go looking for them. I can not wait to read Chapter 18. Too bad all the parties are planned. They should move up the date. Oh well. There is alot brewing in the book. Can not wait to complete my series of books.
By the way.... We are just as guility as the scanners. We post articles on the web and then we go out surfing the web for them. It only makes it that much eaiser..

I visited earlier today and saw several posts where people were trying to say they knew what was going to happen, and there were images put up that looked to be scanned from a book. I thought they were shopped, or otherwise fake... but after reading here that someone truly has leaked the last book, I'm afraid the spoilers on that site may be the real thing.
