Scholastic, the U.S. publisher of the Harry Potter series has obtained
a subpoena in the hopes of learning the identity of the culprit who posted scans of pages from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on the web.
We at HPANA have been sent similar items, such as videos and images of the books, and we are working with Scholastic to remove authentic spoilers from the internet so that fans are not spoilt.

Hopefully they catch who did it soon. It's really awful of them to try and ruin the final book for everyone.

I can't believe that someone whould do something this dirty and low. Of course this leads me to believe that some of the spoilers out there are true. I had just been blowing them off as bologna, and ignoring them.
I do hope they catch the sneak who did this.

Personally I don't mind spoiling myself with the movies because a brief clip or two and the trailer and whatever is fine because I read the book. But I DO NOT want to be spoiled for the book. Next to birth and starting college, the final book in the series is the most amazing moment of my life!!! I can't imagine finding out what happens while reading something on the internet. I would sue that person!!!
I can't believe that people have actually been trying to get ahold of the books and have actually sent in videos and images of the books themselves, and HPANA confirms that there have been these sorts of leaks. And also that scans of the PAGES themselves have been emailed around. I hope Rowling and Scholastic nail their butts to the wall for it!!!
I feel bad for whoever works for the HP sites and are having to read these bits and have it ruined for them! Someone has to confirm that they're out there so it sucks for those who got spoiled doing their job!

Thank you guys for helping to stop spoilers from being posted!

Those people need to find something better to do. I hate people that do those kinds of thing. But they are doing such a great job making sure that nobody sees of reads or hears something that they don't want to.

Some people just have no shame...
They don't realize how important this is to Potter fans. Or they hate the series and maliciously want to ruin it for everybody else.
But we won't let them! Potter shall not be revealed-until he is revealed!

This is so sad that someone would go to lengths to destroy the joy that readers could have in the new book. We have grown up with and cared about the books charactors for several years now. For it to come down to some idiot to steal this experience from JKR and all of the Potter fans is unbelievable. Thanks to HPANA for the alert. I am going to stay off line after today and not watch any news items - just in case.

Thats terrible. What kind of person would want to ruin a child's fun time reading a book. There's no fun in reading if you already know what's going to happen. Sadly though there are people like that.
