JK Rowling has updated
her diary section on her site with some words of wisdom for all "Harry Potter" fans.
JK's message to fans:
We are almost there! As launch night looms, let's all, please, ignore the misinformation popping up on the web and in the press on the plot of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'd like to ask everyone who calls themselves a Potter fan to help preserve the secrecy of the plot for all those who are looking forward to reading the book at the same time on publication day. In a very short time you will know EVERYTHING!
We agree with JK’s sentiments wholeheartedly & request that members not post anything in the comments section on the site about the book. Only 3 more days to go till we all know all there is know about the book.

Can't wait Jo!!!! I am playing mini-golf with my kids during the day tomorrow and I need an activity to do with the kids on Friday to make the time go faster. Friday night we'll take the kids out to eat and then go to a Potter party. Woo Hoo!!!
Thanks Hpana for all you do to make DH spoiler free! This is the only fan site I trust to visit right now.

I 100% agree with JK Rowling. It's complete stupidity for all those absolute morons who think it's their right to post spoilers before we all have the chance to read the books for ourselves.

Well at least they made it this far. There is always someone who has to ruin everything for everyone else. That is too bad really as it was kind of nice to think that we were all in the same boat together and for the most part we would all be learning the end at the same time.
I am so glad to have sites like HPANA and Leaky to turn to when the rest of the net feels it necessary to "blab" everything true or false to the world.

Absolutely! I went book-party-hopping for the HBP release and some stupid idiot drove by and yelled out the ending! I was furious! Now I know when I get the book I'm going straight home and turn on the audio book while reading, locking my door, turning off my computer and phone... complete isolation from the outside world until I'm done!

I totally agree. Shame on those people trying to spoil everything for everybody else. I don't get it. What pleasure does someone get from revealing/posting information/misinformation?

Short, but definitely fitting in dark times like these. I hope she will still write in her diary after the book comes out.

YES! I am very glad that JK Rowling is finally taking a stand and telling us herself that she does not want the ending of the book because if it does get out and what happens I will be really upset and I really hope that does not happen. I think it is really great that she is saying that she does not want any of the book to leak out. I just hope it doesn't leak at all. I can not believe that we now only have two more days and we will know what happens!

I guess I'll need to place my fingers in my ears while making noises so I don't hear any spoilers.
Part of the excitement surrounding the Potter series is the fact that we all wait together until the appointed time...then we read like crazy before discussing any portion of the books.
We will know the facts of the storyline when the appropriate time has arrived.
