To add to the previous two interviews with author JK Rowling from earlier this week (which can be seen here
and here
), Jo continues to answer questions about the last book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as well as discussing the lead-up to the creation of the series and more in an interview with Dateline
(spoilers abound).
Additionally, actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson discuss the books and Potter mania.
You can read the transcript
online and view the interview at the links below:
UPDATE: You can read additional
information from the interview where JK explains some of the finer points of the final book.

I just read the whole transcript. I just really love hearing how she feels about the end of the books. It just makes things seem really real, because JK is the creator and she feels almost the same as all of the fans.
The parallels between both is phenomenal and i just love it.

That was a great interview. I was angry at Dumbledore after reading the book but I'm not anymore after watching that. It just made me realize that he was only human.

I watched and taped that interview last night! I love Jo Rowling, she's a genius and I'm so thankful for the day she was on the train and Harry Potter just "dropped" into her head! I hope she gets the rest she so deserves!

I thought this was a pretty good interview, but I think we all know that there are so many questions left unanswered. Now, as with the movies, we fans may just have to live with being disappointed. I want to know who is Teddy living with? Shouldn't it be Harry since he was supposed to be the Godfather? Anyway...JKR please answer our questions!

This was a fantastic interview. I recorded all three parts, from Today and Dateline. I loved how she explained the decisions to kill the characters she chose. I also liked what she said about Snape. She herself voiced what I feel. Snape is not a hero. He was brave (extraordinarily so) but if he hadn't loved Lily he would have cared less whether Harry lived or died. In fact, he at first even asks that only she be spared. He was bullying, vindictive, and spiteful to the very end. The point she wanted to get across was that Harry forgave Snape. Even after all the years of malice. He forgave him and moved on and was able to look at Snape in a different way. That is very profound.

Awesome. I love how we keep getting stuff even though the books are done--but, of course, Harry Potter lives forever,so I expect that we'll be learning even more information years from now.

I didn't realize that this special was going to be on so early, so I missed the first half! I'm so glad that the first part is online. Even though I've been finished with Deathly Hallows for over a week, I thought it was great that they called so much attention to the possiblity of spoilers during the interview. Hopefully it saved a few people from hearing too much information.

I totallt watched it on T.V. She was great. She's such a nice person. I don't think she's ready to let Harry go, and neither can I. He'll always be with us.

That interview was beyond awesome. There is one question I would ask if I could. What is Luna up to? She wrote about her alot and she was an important character so it makes you wonder where she is now?

That was great, because I of course, missed three of the five parts! It was a great interview. I would love for her to write the encyclopedia, however, I would love for her to fill in the 19 years as well. It would also be awesome to hear more about the Marauders and their early years. Oh well, JK deserves a well earned rest none the less.
