To add to the previous two interviews with author JK Rowling from earlier this week (which can be seen here
and here
), Jo continues to answer questions about the last book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as well as discussing the lead-up to the creation of the series and more in an interview with Dateline
(spoilers abound).
Additionally, actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson discuss the books and Potter mania.
You can read the transcript
online and view the interview at the links below:
UPDATE: You can read additional
information from the interview where JK explains some of the finer points of the final book.

Thanks for posting this. I am really enjoying reading her additional thoughts that weren't contained in the novels. I am particularly sad for Snape - who didn't really go out quite the way I had hoped. I would have liked to see his portrait in the Headmaster's office automatically after all he had done (I am sure other Headmasters died after resigning or retiring - not all of them died while in office surely), but at least these interviews explain why it wasn't there, which was a question I had. I would also have liked to have seen some post-death interaction between Snape and Lily - some acknowledgement of what he had done for Harry all those years and perhaps a forgiveness and reconciliation between the two. A proper send off, so that he could be happy finally as he dwelled in the portrait. He had so much pain and misery in his life, never much that could qualify as happiness. However, it appears JKR doesn't really like Snape that much, so he wasn't to get even that little bit of satisfaction. But at least now I know more of what she is thinking.

Finally finished watching the whole interview, and I must say that JKR seemed to be quite open about the book and herself. I felt that her discussion about how death impacted her and her writing of the deaths of the characters was very revealing, made it all make sense in context.

I watched this, it was really intriguing, but I don't understand why she killed off Lupin and Tonks for the reprieve of Mr Weasley, that's not a fair trade.

I am just glad that JK keeps on asking our questions, even after she has finished writing the series! I thought for sure she would be on holiday by now - she has deserved it for writing for us for *10 years*.

I DVR'd and watched all of these interviews. Jo was amazing, and I love that she puts into her work so much of herself. She is an inspiration to all of us! I also like that she answered some questions besides what was in the book (background info...).

Great interview, definately the "all is well" ending is better than the original scar ending.
I read another report (Bloomsbury webcast)that Ron worked with George at the shop, but in that interview Jo said that Ron joined Harry at the Auror department.

I'm sure glad she is still answering questions about the books! She left us with a lot of question she had said she would answer, and I was disappointed about that. The book as a whole was great, but she left me wanting more!

Glad to see she is still willing to answer questions. She sure left us with enough of them to fill several books! It is a shame she is not going to write more for us, about Harry, but I can see why she would want to move onto new things. I just hope whatever she comes up with will be as good as this was!
