Mattel and Warner Bros. need your help. Later this year they will release the new 20Q™ Harry Potter game but want the fans to help out by asking the game questions about characters, places and objects from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows so that the newly released game will encompasses all the books.
The game asks fans to think of people, places, and things from the books and films and to try to stump the game’s remarkably clever and precise artificial intelligence with knowledge of Harry’s wizarding world.
From the press release:
Earlier this year, the three companies announced plans to introduce the newest version of the popular 20Q™ handheld game – 20Q™ Harry Potter, based on the popular movie and book series.
20Q™ is an artificial intelligence engine, website, company and phenomenon. Originally available only online, the game had players simply think of an animal, vegetable, mineral or other item, and 20Q™ attempted to guess what they were thinking of in 20 questions or less. Each time the online training game is played, 20Q™ “learns.”
20Q™ Harry Potter is the most recent edition to the popular handheld game that has been described as “spooky” and “deceptively addictive.” Based on the original 20Q™ game that won over millions of players from around the world, 20Q™ Harry Potter asks fans to think of people, places, and things from the books and films. The goal? Try to stump the game’s remarkably clever and precise artificial intelligence with knowledge of Harry’s wizarding world.

very cool that they're having fans come up with items. We're a little obsessed and could probably come up with some pretty obscure things!

I think it's awesome! However, I've played it a a few times and the last time I was Hermione's wand, and apparently the majority od people answer that Hermione's wand has never been to Little Whinging when Hermione clearly visits little Whinging in DH, so her wand had to be there too! Arg...it's ticking me off a little. I hope those mistakes are weeded out before the final development.

You are Antonin Dolohov.
Are you one of the Deathly Hallows? You said No, 20Q was taught by other players that the answer is Yes.
The person who said he was a Deathly Hallow is brain dead.

Hmm... There are a lot of kinks to be worked out here. Either HP has a lot of subtleties or people just aren't reading correctly because some things I answered had some serious contradictions that were just false.

We love 20Q at our house. A Harry Potter edition would be nice, but eventually you'd run out of wizarding world words, wouldn't you?

What a great chance to be a part of designing the game! I have a hand held 20Q game (North American version) and it is fabulous. I swear it can guess exactly what we are thinking 99% of the time. This will be a great option for fans to test their knowledge of obscure Potter trivia.
