I love John Williams. His scores were the best. For him to compose the last movie would be icing on the cake.

I'm going to assume the previous poster is like nine years old and say that not only did John Williams write the music for the first three Harry Potter movies along with the Harry Potter theme he composed the music for all the Star Wars movies, all the Indiana Jones movies, Jaws, ET:The Extra-Terrestrial, Superman, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List etc.

So the final movie comes out in 2010. 3 years from now. After that, then what? No more HP to look forward to, because even the movies will be finished!

I liked Nicholas Hooper's score, but the series isn't the same without John Williams. I hope that he comes back for DH.

I do hope so. The musical score for the movies is powerful and exciting all on its own. It reaches the correct mix of building excitiment without ever overshadowing the actual movie.

He's a legend! I have the Hedwigs Theme from the Prisoner Of Azkaban CD as my ringtone as it's my favourite! It reminds me of Christmas when I listen to to it! Although it's kinda sad now, I miss Hedwig!

I really hope John Williams will be scoring the last movie. Some of the best movie music came from Mr. Williams, and I think it would be a fitting end to the film series.

Well now, that would be a good thing! His music was probably the best by far. At least that's how I felt. He seemed to feel the tenor of the film better than the others.

That sounds awesome. I just love John Williams' work. He did an amazing job with the first 3 films and I do hope he comes back. I did enjoy Nicholas Hooper's music for Order of the Phoenix as well. I ,however, did not enjoy the GOF soundtrack too well except for the songs from the Yule Ball which were great. Can't wait to hear what happens.

Woo-Hoo!!
As a music student, the score really makes or breaks a movie for me because T've been 'trained' to take extra notice to the subtlies of music. John Williams is simply amazing, his scores never fail to deliver. I'll be glad to see him back!

That is certainly reassuring to hear. At least we know that one element of the movies will be spot on, again. I was rather disappointed after hearing the GOF soundtrack, and its not that the other copmposers are bad. Its the fact that John Williams is John Williams! The guy brings a mood to the music, that in my opinion, can't be duplicated by anyone else. He truly is a visionary when its comes to interpreting a picture into a musical piece. Please come back, John!:-)

I think he will be back. Actually any of them would be grand. BUt the music is the uilding blcok of a movie. A scary movie with nature music is not scary. Music sets the tone and mood.
