& Rick Mayall (Peeves) ?
He is awesome!
Why has he not been in the films?
Was his part just edited out?
DId they just cast him for the sixth?
What the heck is that about?
He should have benn in OOTP so Fred and George could have told him to "give her hell from us, Peeves." Then he could have done his salute.

Happy 50th Stephen Fry!!
Many happy returns.
What a fantastic video - Stephen is a fantastic actor who has done so much to promote Harry Potter and British comedy ... I wonder if Hugh Laurie was also there?

I have never fully listened to the audio books but from what I have heard he does a good job in the readings. I once heard him explain how he changed his voice.

That was so nice of some of the stars from the Potter films and JKR herself to go out and be with this guy on his birthday, mind you I am not familiar with him, but It shows that everyone involved in the Potter franchise, no matter how big or how little, is important. Almost like a family.... :)

It was Rupert's birthday too on the same day. I hope the "50 not out" programme is repeated as I missed it.

I have heard his audio version is very good. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find in the US. I will have to stick with Jim Dale's excellent version.
Happy Birthday Stephen Fry!

I can't believe I just spent an hour watching all those. :-) No, yes I can, because Stephen Fry is utterly fantastic. Oh, and a tip for Americans: his poetry book, The Ode Less Travelled, has just been released over here and I'll add my own high recommendation of it. :-) *wanders off to reread "Moab is my Washpot"*

I have never listened to the audio versions, just a short excerpt from book 6. I enjoy audio books, but they're usually expensive, and I already purchased two copies of Deathly Hallows. Happy Birthday to Mr. Fry, it must be a honour for him to have J.K. Rowling celebrating it with him!

I know him from the PBS show with Jeeves and Wooster with Fry as Jeeves and Hugh "Dr. House" Laurie as Wooster. Fry's funny. He should play Professor Slughorn in the next movie.

He is a legend! I think Stephen Fry is fantastic! I think he would be one of my fantasy dinner guests, along with William Blake not sure who else though.
Oh sorry I'm waffling.
This might sound mad, but since when has Rik Mayal been in the movies?
Oh, does he do Peeves in the audio versions? I've not listened to them before.

Rik Mayall would be a phenomenal Peeves - so can I then assume that Peeves will be (finally) introduced in Half-Blood Prince? Must check IMDB ...
