Some news about the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix DVD has been released by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) today. They have published a list of extras
that will include:
Various reports on the web suggest that the DVD will be released the second week in November but others have pointed out a December release. As soon as we have official information on the DVD release date we will be sure to let you know.
Meanwhile an additional piece has showed up online stating different extras on the DVD, please treat this as a rumor till confirmed as they differ from the BBFC list.
UPDATE: Thanks to Bruno from O Mundo de Harry Potter and to Rafael from Scar Potter for letting us know that:
Warner Home Video Brazil confirmed for them that the release date in Brazil will be November 14th and that the DVD will have more than one hour of unknown extras, counting to embroidery frames and the making of the film.

I'm kind of so-so. These deleted scenes are pretty pathetic. We haven't had a decent deleted R/Hr scene since PoA and we haven't had anything really interesting since then and even they were bordering on pathetic.
I'm hoping that the other list is accurate. They're listing all extras. I think the BBFC is only listing deleted scenes... I'm not sure if they're in the business of listing other details or just movie details, like scenes filmed. Any ways, the other list has more interesting extras. Conversations with the cast is always more entertaining.

Ooh, I'm so excited!! I love DVD extras!!! I hope it's in November, then I'll probably get it for my birthday so I don't have to buy it with my own money :) But then again, December is Christmas... either way, I'm getting it the day it comes out.
One thing I'd like to see on the DVDs that they've never had for the Potter films is a blooper reel, I bet it'd be hilarious.

Wow, over an hour?!! I can't wait until the DVD comes out!! If its coming out in Brazil on November 14th, and is reported that its going to come out in the UK on November 12th, then we(the US) should be getting the DVD in that time frame(hopefully not later). You know, it's a pattern, we can actually tell when the DVD's are going to come out(Im using Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire as examples)...
Prisoner of Azkaban- In theatres on June 4th. On DVD November 23rd(I think, give or take a day or 2). That's a little less than 6 months after it was released in theatres, if you count the month it came out in theatres.
Goblet of Fire- In theatres on November 18th. On DVD March 7th. That's a little less than 5 months after it was released in theatres.
Basically, the DVD usually comes out between 5 and 6 months after the movie hits theatres, so we can more or less tell when its coming out. Also, we already sort of have an idea as to what's going to be on it. The extras on the Special Edition DVD for the past 2 movies have basically been the same, except different deleted scenes, different interviews, but same interview "types"(that's the only word I can use for it. These past 2 DVD releases: Reflections on the film, chats with the cast, making of the movie, deleted scenes, and the new groups of people that have been introduced into the movie.
If the future DVD's are the same as this, I can't wait until they come out. I just hope that in the last DVD, they have a little "making of Ron and Hermione's kiss". I wonder how many takes it would take for them to get the kiss right, without laughing or getting flustered. Now that would be funny!! The same with Ginny and Harry's kiss too.
(by the way, its 2:44 in the morning, it's summertime, I'm really bored, sorry if this comment was a little too long...)
