Some news about the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix DVD has been released by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) today. They have published a list of extras
that will include:
Various reports on the web suggest that the DVD will be released the second week in November but others have pointed out a December release. As soon as we have official information on the DVD release date we will be sure to let you know.
Meanwhile an additional piece has showed up online stating different extras on the DVD, please treat this as a rumor till confirmed as they differ from the BBFC list.
UPDATE: Thanks to Bruno from O Mundo de Harry Potter and to Rafael from Scar Potter for letting us know that:
Warner Home Video Brazil confirmed for them that the release date in Brazil will be November 14th and that the DVD will have more than one hour of unknown extras, counting to embroidery frames and the making of the film.

I assume that the above mentioned extras are deleted scenes that can be viewed from the "Extras" menu. It would be better if they were put back in the film though.

They sound pretty cool. Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle bully a student sounds funny. I like the outtakes on philosophers stone best, like the one where Harry can't stop thinking about the mirror of erised. I hope we don't have to play a game or something to get to the deleted scenes.

I was really hoping that we'd see the deleted scene of Lucius Malfoy at Malfoy Manor... oh well :(
At least we see Draco!! Maybe one day in the future they'll release an extra special DVD - Director's Cut YEAH!!

In the first place, are these extras incorporated within the film itself, or as a separate section? I'm not too sure, but in the film would definitely be better.
What I would really want, though, is a really extended version, which would probably be about 5 to 6 hours long, but which incorporates every single scene that took place in the book, with nothing cut out. It would take quite a long time to film and edit, but producing this would definitely keep difficult-to-satisfy Harry Potter fans happy.

Snape's Worst Memory will not be extended because it was specifically shortened so that we don't know anything about Snape and Lily - at all. Creates shock value for when it comes out in the final film. The Pensieve scenes will show how that memory was longer than what Snape allowed Harry.
I am happy that Trelawney's questioning with Umbridge will be included because it's listed as 2 minutes and 46 seconds. That means we'll most likely have a little bit more with Snape there too.
I wonder how much more will be there with "Trelawney Eating" - if that will be a longer speech from Umbridge or what?
Hoping Alan Rickman is in conversations with the cast.

Although I do enjoy all the additions to the DVD, I really wish they made a DVD with "everything" in it, meaning the movie in its uncut version with all deleted scenes, etc. When we watch HP on TV, there are always cut scenes in it, and it would be nice to have that. The interviews are wonderful too.
