A new New Wizard of the Month
for October has been added on JK Rowling's web site.
Harry Potter
(1980 - )
The Boy Who Lived, only known survivor of the Avada Kedavra curse and conqueror of Lord Voldemort, also known as Tom Riddle. Harry Potter joined the reshuffled Auror Department under Kingsley Shacklebolt at age 17, rising to become Head of said department in 2007.

Ok, visiting JKR's site for the first time since the last book was released made me cry. Well, untill I saw Harry's very red and kinda weird portrayel of him. ^_^ Looks like a mixture of Dan and their own version of Harry.

Its nice to see Jo still putting out wizards of the month messages, even though she finished the last HP book. Well, she is going to write an encyclopedia of all things HP, so I guess the HP saga isn't over just yet. I bet she'll stop either after the last movie comes out, after she writes the encyclopedia or when she just makes another book.
I bet Jo is going to put Hermione and Ron as the next 2 month's wizards/witches of the month, unless she does like Seasrmar said, September and March because those are their birthdays. That would make a lot of sense. I wonder what little facts Jo writes about them(we already know their jobs, hopefully she'll fill us in a little more about what they do and stuff like that). I'd love to see that!

Seasrmar, you're right! I mixed up the ages(that was me not thinking at all and writing the wrong thing). He was 17 [i]when[i] he joined the auror appartnemt. Thanks for correcting my dumb mistake! I still think of Harry as 17 years old. :)

It is fitting that Harry Potter is Wizard of the Month now that the series has come to an end, and no one is better suited to be head of the Auror Department. Though I am curious about what it is that aurors will have to do now that Tom Riddle has finally been vanquished!

How fitting to have Harry Wizard of the Month for October, the same month that crowned him as The Boy Who Lived.
I'm a little sad he didn't go back to Hogwarts though - no more Quidditch for him at all, except for cheering on the side lines for Ginny's team.
