The official site
from J.K. Rowling has been updated to include a "Wizard of the Month Archive," (via the calendar on the main page of the site or here
), where you will find a complete list of wizards that have appeared on her site.
Fans will also have a chance to review previous door openings by using the time turner in the Room of Requirement (use the eraser on the main page to locate).
Thanks to Alisha for the update.
UPDATE: The site's news section has also been updated
with news on companion books:
Companion Books
It's common knowledge that I love genuine Harry Potter fansites, which is why I created my own award to recognise their creativity and ingenuity.
It's also old news that I hope one day to write the definitive Harry Potter encyclopedia, which will include all the material that never made it into the novels, and that I will give the royalties from this book to charity.
I cannot, therefore, approve of "companion books" or "encyclopedias" that seek to pre-empt my definitive Potter reference book for their authors' own personal gain. The losers in such a situation would be the charities, that I hope, eventually, to benefit.
Jo's news on her site may have something to do with this story
, in which Jo and Warner Bros. are suing RDR books, a book publishing company based in Michigan and others.
The lawsuit states:
The infringing book is particularly troubling as it is in direct contravention to Ms. Rowling's repeatedly stated intention to publish her own companion books to the series and donate proceeds of such books to charity.
Additional items for fans are also on the site and if you really don't want to do it yourself, highlight the area below for the complete solution (courtesy of the Lexicon
) and Alisha:
1) Draw a ? mark on the square blank paper on the Extra Stuff bulletin board.?Clue: Hold your curser on the Sneakascope in the Rubbish Bin until it moves.
2) Peel back the wallpaper next to the light switch by the Door for a new Potion recipe (egg and Lacewing Fly leg). Wait on the desk top for Peeves to knock over the pens, an egg appears. Click on it. Wait in the Fansites trophy case for a new Lacewing Fly to flit in and land on the FSA cup. Click on it.

HOW DARE THEY?!!!!
I 100% agree with JK Rowling and her lawyers in this case.
I mean, it's fair enough to have a "fan" site on the internet (like HPANA) which do not set out to make a profit from JK Rowling's intellectual property.
But to then go and say that you're going to steal an author's idea, publish a book and make money ...???? Sorry Lexicon, but you've lost a fan ...

whynotcuse
how do you get the time turner to work? it refuses to work for me! im so annoyed with it!
The time-turner has a handle with two arms. Drag your cursor to the lower one and click until the desired date of opening appears. Then click on the hour-glass. It will spin and take you back.
Happy exploring!!

That's so cool, I'll have to check out the site, I had no idea about anything having to do with the room of requirement being on her site before, but this sounds really cool. Except the lawsuit part, that sucks.

I say JKR should view first what will be published, before suing...it may not be what she is writing or not even close to it. Plus, anything that she will write for charity will not be hurt by any other book. IF she is upset because Ark wrote a book similar to hers, and is publishing it. she can't complain.
Those that will buy her book or for charity purpose will do so, even if Ark or anyone publishes a book similar or writes a book about Harry Potter. Especially, since she stated that she doesn't want to write another Potter Book.
The example is clear, If, a 400 page story about Harry Potter was writen today, and it had nothing in it, from her books...She can't do nothing about it nor can WB.
Ideas can not be copyrighted, nor can facts from sources. Think!

Well...I understand, that JK want to sell her books for charity, but she also must understand that the fans want the book, and if the book has not yet been written by her, than someone else will write it...for a profit.
But i doubt she needs to worry, because even if i already bought another companion book, I would still buy hers too, she has the inside knowledge, outsiders dont!

All the changes on her site are great, but I wish there could be more wizard cards. I stand behind JK she should be the only one to write anything to do with Harry Potter.
