Well yeah the last battle is going to be epic--who cares if it's expensive, the movies always do excellently in the box office.

I totally agree with her. I would pick dumbledore over anyone if i had a chance to meet a character. He fascinates me. I would love to just get inside his head. and the battle at hogwarts is going to be incredible on the big screen. I cannot wait to see it!

I would so love to get her autograph on my deathly hallows book. It would be totally wicked to! Those fans are so lucky. But I dont think I would mind too much if she didn't come back to write books on Harry Potter, but on a different aspect of the wizarding world. Like focus on another country [ex: United States] haha. That would be nice. =]

I love that JK had a thought about how much the battle of Hogwarts would cost to produce/recreate..didn't stop her though... and I'm soooo glad that it didn't! That was such an amazing sequence of events. And the DH people better spend, spend, spend to make it just as spectacular on the big screen.

I'm glad she didn't think about the movies; I think it would have influenced her writing too much if she had. Ha, I had the same thought though about the Battle of Hogwarts after I read it, that the movie studio would probably spend millions on that one scene. Ha, I also thought that if they do it right, the Battle of Hogwarts will be an AMAZING movie scene!!!

That's crazy how far in advance she knew what and when things were going to happen. I think that's what makes her such a good writer. She thinks things through more than a lot of authors do these days.

And who was the character she would most like to meet?
"Dumbledore -- to apologies for outing him," she replied to applause.
Now that is funny.

No need to consider the film when writing, unless you want to give the narratve a clear film-like turn, in terms of style, rhythm etc. I'd like to attend one of her lectures once, it really seems that she likes explaining her books to readers, teaching, in some way. La Gazette du Sorcier (i.e The Daily Prohet) also gives news about the Lexicon case.

How awesome. There aren't many body parts I wouldn't give to have JK read to me and answer my personal questions about the series. *nods* I'm so glad she was voted 2007's number one person.

I love reading this ... she is so grounded and down-to-earth.
I am glad that she's not buying into the whole Pope-versus-Potter debate. It's a very moral series of books, and those who read evil into it are just clutching at straws in my opinion.

I can't believe the pope objects to Harry potter! really, sometimes i thnk the catholic church has nothing better to do than sit around and think up the stupidest reasons to oppose stuff.
As for the battle of hogwarts, it shouldn't matter how much it will cost to film the whole thing properly. After all, i'm sure they make at least 25 times what they spend on the films, and they'll probably make 100 times what they spend to film DH. It will be the last movie after all.
