J.K. Rowling has updated the rumor section
of her website to inform fans that she does not have a profile on any social networking sites, including MySpace or Bebo.
The rumor is that one of the many J.K. Rowling pages MUST be the real Jo, and she replies:

It seems like everyone has one of those these days. I'm glad to see Jo didn't get sucked into that silly nonsense like some of my classmates did. It's not even fun, really. It's be fun if she did, though, because I'm sure she wouldn't be on there a lot but would probably post updates about her life or something.
