Nickelodeon Magazine is opening a contest
to U.S. residents to attend the Los Angeles premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The contest officially starts tomorrow and ends on May 1st and is open for fans between 6 and 14 years of age.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opens nationwide in the U.S. on Friday, November 21st, 2008. As of now there is no news as to when the UK premiere will take place or if there will be a New York premiere, we will update with news of both when we receive it.

What about those who grew up with HP?
I went through my teenage years and HP made the ride a lot easier. From 6 to 14, I don't think a kid under 12 will remember that in a few years.
I've been a fan since i was 11, I'm now 18, I grew up with the darn series, I bet a lot of people did too. I don't think it's fair for everyone.

A) It totally sucks that you have to be 14 to enter, I'm 17-I think now, the majority of the HP fans around the world are over 14-if they were fans ever since the 1st book came out-this is just unfair. They're giving new HP fans a chance to experience a premiere, when veteran fans who haven't gotten a chance in their lifetime to go to a premiere or meet the HP actors have to fend for themselves.
B) I live in NY. My mom said we could possibly take a road trip to the premiere in November from NY to LA, but I wanna do the roadtrip thing this summer. So, I'm going to wait until one of the DH premieres. They should have one in LA and one in NY. I would love to go to both of them. It would be possible since the premieres of both parts of them movie are 5 months away from each other. Good luck to those kids who win.
