(April Fool's!)
It is expected to be announced today that an agreement between Warner Bros., JK Rowling and Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, has been reached for the development of a Harry Potter anime TV series to air on ABC Family in the U.S. starting in the fall of 2012.
Although they have not yet been made public, HPANA has learned that the basic concept drawings have Harry looking a bit like a young Goku (without the tail); Dumbledore looks like a cross between Master Roshi and Bulma's father; and Hagrid looks a bit like Dragon Ball Z's Ox King.
Rowling has apparently requested some minor changes be made to the renderings before they are released. We will, of course, post copies here as soon as they are made available.
(A live-action Dragon Ball movie is slated for 2009.)
UPDATE: Further information and even some initial sketches
are now available online.

Thought I think the bushy haired transfer student.
Were it not already apparent as a joke the way the story is changed about made me even more certain because Jo refused to sell the rights to her characters so things like this would not happen.

Even though it's an April Fools' joke, it is kind of insulting to make anime sound stupid. I'm Asian, and anime is a big cult in Asia and is part of the Asian culture and style. Most people here wouldn't actually know about anime -it simply means "Japanese animation" and can be appeared in different forms - Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up, that's all. :D
