Last month we let you know that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling received the James Joyce Award from the Literary and Historical Society at University College Dublin and now the full transcript from the event
is online.
During the event Ms. Rowling answered questions from the audience and discussed Dumbledore, the final battle scene from Deathly Hallows and briefly mentions that it will be about 10 years from now before she goes back to the series.

Nice tidbits and the hope for more. What else could you ask for. It was very inciteful and always fun to get the additional input from JKR.

The part about Harry and Ron hugging nearly got me crying. I did cry reading that part in the book. I think it might've been because I'm listening to Bryan Adams' Everything I Do and it's one of the most beautiful/sad songs I know.
A great read. Thank you very much for posting this. <3

Wow!
I thought "The Silver Doe" was wone of the most profound chapters of the entire series. I wept openly. You finally saw in print what every true fan of the series knew all along...that for as much as Ron loved Harry. He always feared he was inferior. That it was Harry who would always get all the glory and that Hermione would eventually choose him. AMAZING!

She certainly imparted a few interesting tidbits in this event. Still, nothing in it was exceptionally shocking. I guess nothing will ever beat the revelation about Dumbledore on October 19th last year. ^_^

Thats cool..Hmm I wonder what could happen after those 10 years have passed. I can't wait to see. That going to be somewhere in 2018...Seems like a really long time without a JK book.

I always enjoy reading her interviews. I hope she will continue to give us more information about all the characters and what they mean to her.
And maybe someday she will bless us with another book. All we can do is wait and wonder.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

I want to read that encyclopedia now. I'm really looking forward to it although I wonder how many copies will there be since it says it's for charity.

Wow - that was so great to read and digest. I am hoping that at some point she does decide to revisit the series. Especially since many people (like me) miss it so much already! Thanks.

I love that.
What an interesting interview, I love hearing her thoughts, now that all the books are out, she can talk about the process and what was cut without giving anything away. But I really think HPOotP is a brilliant book, and half the reason I love it is because it is the longest!
I would have liked to see Ron's annoying cousin torment Hermione!

The Silver Doe was such a good chapter, I absolutely loved that part of the book. It was really unexpected, that Ron was going to just show up and save Harry. It was such a great part of the book!
I enjoy her interviews so much. They have so much insight in them, I hope we get another one soon. I can't wait for the encyclopedia to be finished. I really hope that explains all of the things that we're still wondering about the HP series. I still have so many questions that I want to ask.

Darn.. ten years before she returns to the series.. such a bummer! I hope that her hand soon itches for the pen, as she puts it, and goes back to the series even sooner.

I like the part about JK rebeling against Ron and Harry hugging because "British boys don't do that!"
I also thought it was quite interesting that she feels that Evanna Lynch was sooo well cast... I always though so too. She is Luna!
