First picture of Narcissa Malfoy from 'HBP'

Some photos of Helen McCrory as Narcissa Malfoy from the set of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince have appeared
online.
Additionally, Ms. McCrory has stated that she will be reprising her role the last films in the franchise, Deathly Hallows.

I did think that she would look colder, more haughty, with a rather prominent chin and a slightly thinner face, but thats just how I imagined her. She actually looks like an older and r version of the new Pansy Parkinson. I also think that she looks too nice for Narcissa Malfoy, although I do seem to have a soft spot for her; when she was claiming that Harry was in the seventh book, The ly Hallows, much to Harry's relief, but of course she shouldn't have been such a snob towards him in Madam Malkins Robes Store at the start of the sixth book, The Half Prince, as you will see in the chapter classified as 'Draco's Detour'. She is quite pretty, and you will notice that in the fourth book, The Goblet of Fire, J.K.Rowling described Narcissa with good looks, despite the look on her face as if something smelt bad. But one problem is that she doesn't look a bit like Helena Bonham Carter, despite their simultaneous name and noting their sisterhood.
I still can't wait for the Half Prince to come out!!

I think that it would be sooo much fun to play Narcissa in the last 2 movies. She manages to play nasty and cold while still maintaining a glimpse of familial love and responsibility! I'd love to be her in the forest scene in book 7.... gives me chills just thinking about it!!!!

I don't know about this choice. She doesn't look like she's dressed elegantly enough to be a Malfoy, and her hair should be more elaborately done too. She doesn't look snobbish enough for me.

Shes not really how I imagined Narcissa too look to be honest. I have always imagined Narcissa to be stunning, to really stand out in a crowd for her looks, and be almost a bit of a trophy wife. She might be brilliant in the roll, but on looks alone she doesnt seem right to me.

She looks like a good actress to portray Narcissa Malfoy. I'm glad to see she will appearing in the DH film too. She's become such a prominent character in the last two books. The opening scenes should have a nice dark edge to it too.

You can't see the picture extremely well, but from what you can see it looks like they go her character right on. Although at this point I don't really doubt their choice in actors cause they have done such a wonderful job in casting in the past :)

I saw these pictures a while ago and was very impressed - I love it. It just saddens me how some people (on other hp boards and imdb)find the smallest little imperfection and pick at it. Like a few days after these pictures found there way onto the internet I saw someone post a comment that her "upper arms were too big and that she should loose weight" people who make comments like that just really bug me. I have complete faith she will do an excellent job - can't wait to see her in action.
