Some photos of Helen McCrory as Narcissa Malfoy from the set of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince have appeared
online.
Additionally, Ms. McCrory has stated that she will be reprising her role the last films in the franchise, Deathly Hallows.

I didn't really like the pictures.As soon as I saw the picture of the actress who would play Narcissa a few months ago, I just didn't really think she would fit the role, I mean I'm sure she's a great actress and will play her very well, but she just doesn't look like the Narcissa I'd imagined.
& now,seeing the pictures just proves it to me,but perhaps with the special effects and the editing or whatever it is they do to the movie,she will look more like Cissy... besides, the poicture was very blurry so I couldn't tell for sure...

To be honest she looks all wrong to how I imagined her! The picture is really blurred and I am really hoping I am wrong but I don't think I am. She should be looking elegantly beautiful with a regal look and an icy glare all of her features are nothing like I imagined them! I mean yes sure, she's blonde but thats not the most important thing though! Hmm maybe I am judging too early! I will just have to wait and see.

I hate to say this, but she looks more like she could play Luna's mother than Draco's mother. She doesn't look mean enough. Now that I think of it, Helena Bonham Carter would LOOK LIKE(we don't know how she'll act as her yet) a better Narcissa. No offense to Helena, not to be mean, but she looks mean. She really played Bellatrix well. I think it's her eyebrows. For some reason, her eyes and eyebrows made her look meaner than she really is.
I actually pictured her to be slightly mean looking in the book, yet somehow innocent. I mean, I've always pictured Narcissa to be in the background of the Malfoy family, I don't know why. Sort of like she wishes she doesn't approve of what Lucious is doing, like she wants out of the marriage, but is staying for Draco...She just stays there, keeps her mouth shut and that's it.

To be frank, she doesn't look as beautiful as I expected for Narcissa to. I suppose I had always envisaged Nicole Kidman as the character, though...
Here's to hoping that she satisfies the personality of the character at least. They must have casted for good reason, and hopefully she does the character justice.
