Update: 'HBP' video game to be released with movie launch

EA Games has announced
that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game will be released in time for the movie launch later this year. The game will be released on Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, DS, PC, mac and mobile devices.
Harvey Elliott, Head of EA Bright Light studio in the UK said:
We believe that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game represents a milestone in the movie tie-in genre. Building on the technological advancements of previous games in the series and with a particular focus on the unique control system of Nintendo's Wii, the team here is working closely with the filmmakers to create an immersive interactive experience that captures the story, the action, the excitement and, above all, the fun of the film.
The Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie is scheduled for release on November 21, 2008.

The last game was pretty fun for the Wii. This time though, I hope that it's actually more of a game. It was like the last one was just doing chores i.e. mopping up water, sweeping leaves, repairing torches. It needs more action. But I did like that there was A LOT to unlock like extra pics, interviews, etc. So I hope thy keep that! Either way, I'm looking forward to the game and I hope that they tweak the controls for the Wii as well.

I still have my original nintentdo with my Zelda game but haven't played it in years.
I'm waiting for the day when you can play a video game with holographic players, like they did in Star Wars.

Iono I was really excited about OtP but just like goblet of fire, they skrewed up that game, WHO CARES IF IT COMES OUT AT THE SAME TIME OF THE MOVIE, yes i understand its good for sales blah blah blah, but wont you sell more if the game is MUCH BETTER, i am a die hard HP fan, but i would rather see a quality over it being out soon. I apologize if this insults some people but this is my opinion, and i hope some of you do agree, i plan to go to school for game design and it hurts to see some games with tons of potential really go down the drain, here is an example, what if they rushed the movies, or jkr rushed the books, i mean its just simple to say quality takes time, and i really hope that this game turns out really good, they have the potential for the last quarter of the book, so I hope and pray that it actaully turns out good, and gets me pumped for the last game, and this just came to mind, they are splitting the last movie into two, will they do the same for the last game, or just make it bigger like a 2 disc video game and release it with the second part of the movie? Please leave feedback if you agree or disagree

Considering the games have progressed over time, and have become better with each game, I have a feeling that this game will be surprisingly good. It also helps that the books/movies will be getting darker, thus making the possibility of the games being darker and more book based.
I'm sure other people have noticed this, but the game is different on every system. Small things, but it makes a difference.
Either way... I can't wait!
