WHO CARES????? WB, stop trying to "pacify us" with pictures now, it is too late. You made us wait for flipping ever for the trailer, which we just FINALLY got and the day the countdown clock finally dipped under 100 days you hit us with a bombshell and we are NOT forgiving it just because now you are pumping out pictures. I am not even looking at them and the BOYCOTT IS ON!! CHange the date back or you WILL feel it on your bottom line.

Why isn't Narcissa's hair completley blonde? WB and David Heyman can all go to hell. This picture just proves that they don't care about the fans of the books!

I totaly agree with you LemonFaerie. what they did is unacceptable. This just shows that all they care about is money and not the fans and the story the books give us. And now they hope that a few pictures will help pacify the angry fans. Fat chance! But I hope that the whole HP fan community will protest and they would be forced to move the date back. As of yesterday, I've lost total respect for the production people and the WB exceutives.

Brilliant. Photos. Is this supposed to make me feel BETTER?
All I feel when I see these scenes is what an absolute WASTE of effort. Why bother with the excellent cast, the brilliant story, these photos from the filming? Warner Bros is only interested in MONEY, so now I feel like the whole movie has been poisoned for me ...

LemonFaerie thank you! I think you just about covered everything.
I think it's ridiculous how they're making us wait so long and seriously what is the point? It's not like they're making it better or showing us a full length trailer or anything.
All they're doing is changing stuff from the books or adding scenes that aren't meant to be there. Like with the Unbreakable Vow, they were on their knees and gripping their hands!
Not standing up and monkey gripping their arms!
Personally, I would rather have a detailed movie that did the book justice and have to wait longer than get a movie like Warner Brothers gives where they add in their own stuff, hardly quote from the books and stuff it up.
Like with Lavender Brown, all they had to do was show her in the previous movies but no. They cut her out because they didn't think she was important.
And then, "OH DEAR! There she is in HBP! Oh well, I guess we'll just have to include her in now because she's an important part to the story line!"
Same with Pavarti, they showed her once in Prisoner of Azkaban which was good, at least three movies into the series she was there. And then:
"Oh look! We didn't include her in GoF or OotP but since she's in that carriage scene in HBP, I guess we'll have to put her in!"
I mean, I'm not ANGRY about it. I'm just a little dissapointed that they don't follow the books and do them justice. Like with OotP how they cut Quidditch from the movie altogether even though Ron was a Keeper!
So I reckon WB should just have a good long look at themselves and how they're butchering the series from it's detailed witicism, humour and fun into just a comercial outlet so they can gain some money.

I don't like who they casted as Narcissa's either. Well, from this angle anyways, she looks kinda old. I never pictured Narcissa's too look too old. Maybe it is just the angle though.

Thanks, you guys. I am just SO angry still, I can't seem to get over it. I had some hope that this boycott and the petitions and everything might actually have some impact (after all, Australian fans were able to get the release date they wanted with their petition campaign for one of the previous movies, I think OoTP?), BUT... MTV has announced that the Twilight film has moved their release date back now, to take November 21. So not only are they claiming that HBP was moved in order to not have to compete with them (AS IF!), now they have taken over the date so they will get more $$$ in before the end of the year for their film. Well, I can't blame them, WB left it open and it's a smart marketing decision for them. It just brought home to me even more forcefully how much WB has screwed us. I wish this was a nightmare I could wake up from!

I'm glad to see more and more people are saying they will boycott the movie if it's delayed until July.
It will be marvelous to see a premiere movie weekend add up to a total loss.
I will definately not go to see the movie in July but wait until it comes out on DVD.
We have to stand strong in our beliefs! Don't get sucked into the GREED of WB!
If they won't show it in November, DON'T GO SEE IT IN JULY!
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

Harry Potter books are probably the best books in the world. Every time I read the books I feel like I learn something new about the series, and the books never get old, they always get better. I love watching the characters develop, and seeing that they are like real people. They are not always perfect, not always pretty, not always amazing and intelligent. Some of them are crazy, a little odd, and special in their own way. Every time I read the books I see a new perception of them, and that too me that is just amazing.
The movies have no substance really. You never see the characters develop, and everyone seems just too perfect to be real. I never see a new perception of the movies either. They are way too confusing for people who don't read the books.
Although the movies aren't as much like the books as I would have liked, I still get excited for them. I was so happy when there was less than 100 days until HBP left. My friends mom told us that HBP was postponed till July, and me and my friend were like "WHAT? There was only 97 days left! Is this April Fools day or something?" And then we went underwater and screamed our heads off until our throats were sore.
I just hope WB doesn't think that fans will be swayed by a few pictures. They are in for a rude awakening. Alright, well now I'm off to sign petitions and stuff.

This is ridiculous. We don't want to see more pictures. It isn't going to change the fact that you care more about money and standings than the fans that have been waiting for so long for the movie.
WB, you can stick those pictures up where the sun don't shine!!!!

It's like WB and Summit traded money. Too bad that due to their greed they lost the loyalty of millions of fans.

I had an old, mean english teacher that looks like Narcissa. Her character is supposed to be pretty, I thought. Yuck.
And this whole delay thing is lousy. I highly doubt I'll be seeing the movie in theaters now. It's just spoiled. And to think, we were upset about seeing it a few days after Egypt. I almsot can't help but laugh at the irony.
...in accordance with the prophecy.

All I have to say is I am very disappointed in WB. I understand in todays world its all about money.. but come on now.. Let's be real. It's Harry Potter for gosh sake. They would have STILL blew up the box office! If they wanna scrummage for all the pennies they can get, clearly someone is having some financial issues. What a shame that they will use a movie with such a fanbase, push the date back, apologize, and hope for the best. Everything is about money today. So sad. Well good luck W.B.... because your gonna need it.
P.S. If they start showing pictures all the time, I will stop looking, because they will end up showing the whole film. -__-

Hrm, well the way they're clasped in the photo is how I pictured the unbreakable vow, only kneeling, yes. Are they actually standing in this image, though? It's hard to tell, definitely.
I'd always pictured Narcissa looking like J.K. Rowling, oddly enough!
As with pretty much everyone here, though, I'm not waiting a year for the film. And as someone else has already mentioned, with the nearly eleven months between now and July '09, who wants to look at the pictures? We'll have seen the whole movie that way (albeit silently).
A bit of absence might make the heart grow fonder, WB, but too much breeds apathy and disinterest!
One more boycotter here.

This boycott seems like a good idea. If we could get everyone to go watch the movie a week after it comes out. Then they can't break any Box Office records, and we still see the movie.

Okay. Yes it is dissapointing that the movie has been pushed back and even more annoying that it was for a reason such as money (and not wanting 2009 to look like it didn't make enough money becase 2008 had Dark Knight and HBP), but people, its not the end of the world. Its not like the rest of the movies are being pushed back as a direct result of this move.
And about the pictures, we always get a lot of pictures for each new movie so its not strange that we're getting a lot now.
I'd also like to point out that small details like the color of a persons hair, or the way they are holding hands, or whether or not they're on their knees is not worth making a big deal about. Books and Movies are two totally different mediums. It is easy to make a character look what ever way you want in a book but the chances that there's goign to be an actor/actress that fits that description are pretty slim. For instance red eyes is a cool effect for Voldemort in text but when its played out it would look strange.
