With just a few hours left until the much anticipated release of Tales of Beedle the Bard, the preparations for this release are in motion.
We are receiving news from bookstores that have boxes of the novel in storage awaiting release, we are also getting word"We expect it will crash straight in at No. 1 in our book charts," Jon Howells, of Britain's Waterstone's book store chain, said Wednesday. "It would take a battle of magical proportions to dislodge it before Christmas."
Currently there are several midnight release parties
all around America, with several others already finishing in Britain and Europe.
UPDATE: Thanks to TLC
for letting us know that you can now view a video of rthur Levine, editor of the US editions of the Harry Potter novels, reading from his handwritten copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard.

Here's a scoup! I wonder just how much trouble UPS is going to be in for delivering my copy of "The Bard" today instead of tomorrow?
I had several other packages from Barnes&Noble delivered today and there was a small one with a tag on it stating in big red letters "Do not deliver before Dec. 4th". I wonder how many others got their books today?
Needles to say I opened it and have already read the introduction and looked at all of the artwork. Each one is signed somewhere with JKR's signature. It was fun to find where it was on each of the drawings.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

Sorry for the double post, but I just went back and checked the packaging and it was a bright "yellow" tag with black letters that said "Deliver on and not before 12/4/08".
I hope there aren't too many reprocussions because of it.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

I forgot it was out today (I hadn't pre ordered it), so it was a nice surprise when I walked into Waitrose and saw it!
Sadly though, the American cover doesn't do justice to this fabulous little book! Much prefer the English version, I can't imagine in Beedle thwe Bard's time it would've said 'a wizarding classic from the world of Harry Potter' at the top.

I pre-ordered the collector's edition of this book and just received it today. At first I thought, "I would never pay $100 for a book!". The US standard edition is nice, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it (nice drawings, etc.), but in the end, I couldn't resist the collector's edition. I didn't expect the book to look and feel as quality as it does, and everything that it comes with is very nice! I haven't actually read the book yet, but it was well worth the money just for the quality, in my opinion. I know that 35 of the collector's editions are supposed to be autographed by JK. Those are 35 very lucky people!

Its already out here (Since yesterday)! I rush to the mall after work and went straight to the Bookstore and there it is! Thousands of copy of Tales of Beedle the Bard. The sales lady told me that they already sold quite a number of it and might be out of stock early. Gosh! I think it is already number 1 selling book right now. =)
