Emma Watson recently spoke
with MTV about the split of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, as well as her feelings on wrapping up filming of the movies.
I don’t know. I am as intrigued as you are. I am waiting at the moment to receive the script. It’s a tough call. I’m sure it will be some cruel cliffhanger.
The delays of the next three films means that Watson will be saying a long goodbye to Hermione Granger, but she is emotional when it comes to leaving the character behind.
It’s really mixed feelings. It will be bittersweet. It will be very scary because it’s been such a massive part of my life. It will have been nearly over a decade that I’d been playing Hermione. It’ll be tough but I’ll be ready to go I think. I’ll be ready to take on other projects. It will be exciting.

I can see them leaving is with a huge cliffhanger!!!
It must be hard for all of the trio to think about what it will be like for them to leave HP and not have any more movies to do! I am sure it will be really sad!

Oh definitely! I'm glad they decided to split the movie into two. More room for details. :)

Its going to be tough as a fan, seeing the first part of the book on film and then having to wait another few years for the next one. She has really given her whole career to this role, i can't even imagine....

Well, All I can say is this. Granted I'm Uber excited about the last movie. But at the same time for me, book 7 was the best. So, it needs to be done justice. I don't want a run through imitation of it, there are ALOT of details in there and hopefully with the movie split, we have a chance to see everything that needs to be shown. I'm excited and if i have to wait.. then i'll wait. It's a little bit of a comfort knowing that at least we know what's going to happen(for all that has read the books) For those who are just movie people then 1 piece of advice.. get a library card! *smile*

Bittersweet feeling, ha? Yes, I can definatly relate to that. I remember when the DH book came out (after the excitment wore off) I got a bit sad about the whole thing ending so I guess her feeling would be similar (just multiplied by 100 =D)
I agree about the cliffhanger... I wonder at what point will they cut/split it...

I think the 1st movie of the split will end after Ron comes back and tells the whole story of the snatchers, and how the deluminator works.

When the time comes, Emma will be able to move on from Harry Potter, but I'm sure that both her and her fans will miss her. She's a great actress though and I think we will see more of her after HP.

I hope, for Emma's sake, that after the Harry Potter films have come to an end that she is able to move on without difficulty. Sometimes, for whatever reason, actors or actresses who find themselves in a television or film series have a hard time achieving any success afterward. I hope she does well.
Dan and Rupert both have already stared in great movies (December Boys in Dan's case and Driving Lessons in Rupert's case) I hope Emma will be able to do the same. I know she was in a film called Ballet Shoes, but I've no idea how well she did in it and if it was a good movie or not; I hope to see it soon.

I cant wait to see Emma doing some other films and other roles, it will be exciting to see what else waits out there for her, but also I will miss that there will be no more Harry Potter movies, books, ect to look forward to, what ever will we do? it will be like being stuck in limbo

It is odd to think that the actors have been doing this for nearly as long as JK did in writing the series. It must be (or will be) hard to let go of something that has been part of your life for so long-- especially during your young, formative years!

I don't know how these guys will be able to deal with being done with the films. It's going to be ridiculously depressing for us fans I can only imagine how the people actually involved in the making of it will feel.

The trio have developed such a rapport. It is a great ensemble and they'd never manage a change to such key cast members. Hang in there!
