David Yates, Harry Potter director, recently gave an interview
where he spoke about filming Half-Blood Prince, his reaction to the popularity of the franchise and how funny the new movie is.
There are some really lovely comic beats in there. With the love potion, for example, Rupert at one point gets overly tactile with Jim Broadbent’s [newly introduced] character, Professor Slughorn, which is hilarious. We didn’t really get a chance to bring those moments in last time round.

You know...i had my doubts about this guy at first, during OOTP. When i saw the movie i was dissapointed by the script BUT i loved all the acting, and design and the whole feel of the movie. So i'm glad they are finnaly sticking with a director and continuing with him through the rest. Because i see only great things coming from this guy. Love you Yates :)

It's funny how the Harry Potter movie go through directors like Hogwarts goes through DADA teachers. ha ha ha. It seems like Yates knows what he's doing. And it great that he is sticking through to the end because the movies need consistency for the end. Can't wait to see how he did with HBP.

HBP sex, potions and rock n roll? I never really thought of the book like that. I know love is in the air but that's expected as the kids grow older. The film still keeps it's dark tones with Voldemort and the Inferi. I'm very excited to see it and I'm happy that Quidditch is back because I've really missed it in the movies! I also have a great respect for David Yates for taking great care for the Harry Potter films, he's done a fantastic job!

Aww, the love potion scene. That should be so much fun! I was confused when it said how the new movie was funny, but I suppose there are some pretty good moments in the book mixed in with the dark and creepy moments. It's good they are including some of them.

I don't see how if it has all that violence it can be rated PG, I think if any of the movie were to be rated PG-13 it would be this one maybe DH as well.
