In one month's time the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DVD will be released in the U.S., and to wet fans appetites a deleted scene from the movie featuring Snape has been released on YouTube.

This just shows how much is not present in the final movie cuts, but was actually filmed. I expect an extended version of all the movies to ultimately be released. Maybe there will be a more detailed mini-series on television first.

I certainly wouldn't object to a three hour Potter movie. That might be a bit much for some people, though. I suppose longer doesn't necessarily mean better.

Interesting scene, I think it's leading up to the Death Eaters entering Hogwarts (thanks to Draco and his cabinet). Beautiful cinematography! It's too bad they had to edit it out.

Oh wow. i loved it. i definately think that scene should not have been cut. it shows the build up to the entrance of the DE's, and the look on Snapes face as he sees it coming is quite haunting...at least for me, knowing that he knew what he was going to have to do and the look on his face shows...i dont know almost a real inner turmoil.
we of course know he didnt want to do what he did, but that shot right there cements it. Alan Rickman really has bone a wonderful job with the character.
and the Cinematography(sp) was truly beautiful.

At first the video was on private but thanks Linakekei for the link. I liked the scene, it really has a dark tone to it especially with Snape kind of realizing what is to happen once the Death Eaters arrive.

Um, it's kinda weird, not like any other HP scene. It probably got deleted, because it doesn't add to the plot, and it was too long to stay. :( But it's great. :) Emotional and slow... :)
