In a new interview, Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), discusses
the bond that his character has with Harry and explains that they have a "love/hate relationship." Tom, who is shortly to begin filming
The Apparition in Berlin, will return for the end of shooting on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in the coming weeks.
According to Tom:
Harry and Draco almost have a bond, and they save each other's lives on numerous occasions. It's a really weird love/hate relationship. It's great that it's left to our interpretation of how and why this is all happening. We have shot some really interesting stuff with me and Daniel — me saving him and him saving me. For once, we're not just bickering!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I opens November 19th, 2010.

Somebody enlighten me to which canon scenes he's referring. I came up with the fiend fyre scene, but apart from that... I really have to read that book again.

Well, HappyAuriga, Draco sort of saves Harry in Malfoy Manor by pretending not to recognize him... In the book, Jo sort of leaves it up to our interpretion whether Malfoy actually recognizes Harry's disfigured form with all the cuts of his face...
but yeah, those are the 2 main instances I can think of: Fiendfyre and Malfoy Manor

I was thinking the same thing. It's also possible that they added a few minor scenes in the Battle of Hogwarts -- who knows? Or they tampered with the Malfoy Manor scene a bit.

Hmmmm..Going to have to check this film out. I love a good ghost story as long as they stay away from the slashing, blood and gore. The original "Haunting" movie with Clar Bloom is one of my favorites along with "Univited" with Ray Miland from back in the fourties.
I'm also glad to see that Tom is branching out into other film roles, for a while I thought he was going to end it with HP and do more with his music.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

Well Harry did save Draco's life. It's because of him that he was able to grow and have a family and a life. I think part of him does like Harry but he will never show it. It's part of how he is. Like when they meet as they are sending their kids off to school, all they do is give a nod. That's all the friendship you'll ever see between them. I can't wait to see Deathy Hallows.

I am so stoked for the movie to come out. I think I might just make a count down calendar. Except I have no idea when it's coming out here in Rome.

*switches through DH again* ... numerous scenes where they rescue each other?
Well, alright, the Room-of-Requirement scene might be one. Malfoy Manor... perhaps.
Maybe, deep down, Draco still wishes Harry had accepted his friendship. I, personally, always thought he just sought that to be part of the fame, though.

Enoch the Deathless says:
I think one of the contributing factors to Voldemort's downfall was his cruel punishment of the Malfoys', because of Lucius' failure to obtain the prophecy. You could tell from the last two books that the Malfoys' were in misery. The fact that Voldemort wanted Draco to(or at least, attempt to) kill Dumbledore aided in secretly turning the Malfoys against Voldemort. Being on the wrong side of Voldemort most likely caused the change of heart in both Narcissa and Draco, both who helped foil Voldemort in the end. (Draco not pointing out Harry at the Manor; Narcissa's lie that Harry was not dead in the forest).
Draco's original dislike had to be from the fact that the Malfoys were pure-blood, and also followers of Voldemort. In the end, Draco may have seen Harry as his only way out of more cruel treatment by Voldemort.

It is definitely an interesting dynamic, but I wouldn't call it a love/hate relationship at all. Maybe hate/pity...
In the book I always assumed that Malfoy really didn't completely recognize Harry when he was brought to the Manor, and was just terrified to hand over the wrong guy to LV. Maybe they changed this in the movie, gave some subtle indication that Malfoy was trying to save him. It's more likely that they just added in some scene that wasn't in the book though, let's be honest with ourselves.

I think they must be the Malfoy Manor and Fiendfyre scenes ... I don't really think there's anything else.

Actually the director added more scenes with them in the final film. Don't call it a movie because that's not what it is. But anywho, the director emphasized their relationship and made it the more complicated. And Tom also said there are compelling scenes with Draco and Harry. I really hope they don't only have two scenes together. I hope more was added.
