Emma Thompson, Sybill Trelawney in the Harry Potter films, is scheduled
to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next Friday, August 6.
Ms. Thompson, who has won two best actress Academy Awards for her work in Howard's End and Sense and Sensibility will be joined by Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Laurie in speaking at the late-morning ceremony in front of the Pig 'n Whistle pub on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Nice to see recognition for her many fine performances. Wish she had a little more time in the films. She was subtle but important character. And Thompson played in a great way.

I have always thought she was a great actress. Loved her in Nanny McFee. Sorry she will not be in 'Deathly Hallows" was looking forward to seeing her throwing things from the tower.
