I wonder if it's the rehersal or if they are just going to be wearing muggle clothing in the movie. Like Sirius-Ella and RemmysGal, Daniel's hair isn't jet black like it's supposed to be.

Aravis says:
Sirius-Ella..are you sure those are rehersal pictures? I mean, they were supposed to be "official" pictures of the filming, and Cuaron has said that he's dressed the characters in "hip" clothing ("sometimes even the actors' own clothing")
I am not going to get over the fact that the characters aren't wearing robes! Some people have pointed out that in the other movies occasionally the trio wasn't wearing robes. Well I've been rereading PoA and in the Shrieking Shack scene the trio were defiitely wearing robes. Also, when Hermione attacks Draco, they are in between classes so both of them (with Crabbe and Goyle) would at the very least be wearing a school uniform. I mean, looking at the pics I could be looking at any upcoming cheap teen flick. Their robes are part of the wizarding world, which brings me to another point: the pure-blood wizards don't usually own muggle clothing at all! I mean, in GoF wizards were wearing all sort of muggle clothing that didn't match or the guys were in dresses or something because they didn't usually wear muggle clothing! Now, Hermione and Harry live with muggles, and Ron's dad works in the Muggle dept but Draco would rather be caught dead than wear muggle clothing and suddenly he's dressed like he's walked straight out of GQ or something. I am just so upset over this. It's not fair to the books. Arrrrgh! I know some people got upset when I said I was glad Cuaron would not be doing GoF, and I will not judge the movie until I've actually seen it, but I am really disgusted so far.
And while I'm on my soapbox steaming, the actors for Lupin and Wormtail don't look like the characters in my mind (of course, it's subjective). And what's up with the hair colors? Argh! I am really upset...PoA is my favorite book. But I've steamed, so I'll go now :-)

ok people...personally i think that those pictures are either rehearsals OR they are when the students arent in school? well obviously when the three of them go into the shrieking shack they arent in class and dont need to be wearing robes...in the first 2 movies they dont wear robes constantly? BUT i think they should do sumthing with Hermiones hair...its supposed to be bushy and big? not cute blonde and bouncy!?!? hrrrmm...curious but besides that i think the pics r awesome...except im getting a little tired of seeing the same ones over and OVER again...time for some new ones!

First of all don't they supposed to be wearing wizard robes.
Second of all why the heck is hermonie wearing a rainbow belt it does not go with her character at all. Third of all why is hermonie's hair blonde. I just don't get it. Hopefully they didn't destroy the movie so much that they made harry into a punk with spunky hair ( that actually would look kinda cool) but anyway as long as they follow the book then i guess i don't mind much.

Haven't these pics already been posted. Anyway i agree with parvatiPatil89 that we won't be seein the cast in robes all the time. But there is evidence that in some parts they will be. We will all get over it when we finally get to see it. I mean right now all we know is what see. So we should just hopr for the best and know that the movie will be great. * i love rupert*

Yeah some of these pictures are a little old. In these parts they are sneaking out of the castle or something. Like the trio picture looks like they are sneaking out of Hagrid's cabin. In the book doesn't it just say that Harry slipped on a sweater? Maybe it is that part.

I would like to see some new pics from the movie. Also, I would like to see wizarding robes at some point. It will be a dissapointment if they are not worn at all by the students. These all seem to be from the same scene, so that could be excuse for the attire.

Hasnt harry's hair always been brown in the movies instead of "jet black"? so why are all of you just noticing it now. in all the other movies if you look it isnt exactly deep black. and as well harry's eyes in the movies arent always green. and i really really dont think those are rehearsal pictures like half of you think. thats why i was so upset in my first post here. im still upset. mcgonagall, lupin, and sirius are wearing their costumes but the trio are just wearing normal clothes with dirt on them so it must be the real thing or else they would put the make up on right? im so mad then. *cries and has a fit* im still seeing the movie though and will enjoy it just the same i will just have to try to ignore the fact that they are not wearing robes. if this is how alfonso wants it then i am glad he is not directing the fourth one. by the way has anyone got any information on being an extra in GOF? let me know if you do.

Accio Brain says:
Are people ever going to quit obsessing over the robes?? It's been made abundently clear that Cuaron opted for more modern clothes when they aren't in class. I know it strays from the books but it's a friggin' movie. It's not like it's just him doing it either. Columbus had them wear muggle clothes in the first 2 films so please FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CALM DOWN and lets find something else to nitpick over.

Well I agree with Aravis, not to mention whoever mentioned the rainbow belt I mean ... Hermione? Not to stress too badly tho', not much can do about it anyway LOL ... *think I am starting to get a worried feeling about Cuaron and my favourite book*
But the other thing with them wearing trendy muggle clothes is that it dates the movie really badly which plain old cloaks would never do. And when you start watching movies thta were made in the 80s in the 00s and see what they were wearing you know what I mean.

I don't care if they wear robes, I don't care if they wear muggle clothing...heck, I don't care if they wear animal skins and leaves...the story is in the action and the dialogue, and so long as we don't have anything strange going on there (like someone turning Harry into a frog and back again or Draco declaring undying love for Professor McGonagall) then it really doesn't bother me.
I have movies to enjoy, and I have books to enjoy, which holds true for all of my favorite books made into movies. Slavish devotion to the books isn't necessary for a good movie...else I'd have been really annoyed in Fellowship of the Ring when it was Arwen at the ford and not Glorfindel....
If I can get over that, I think I can deal with some muggle clothes.

Everyone is in a tizzy about the clothes. I honestly don't care as long as the movie keeps me as enthralled in the story if not more like the book did. I would be a tad less authtentic if you see them walking around the halls with books, and not in their robes, but I honestly never think of them being in their robes all the time when reading the books. Maybe it's because I watched the movies first before I read any of the books. (ooo bad me bad)
Anyway, I wanted to share this link with you guys. Someone on livejournal.com in the community called sane_potter made this post. They gave their opinions about a few things. The second is about the muggle clothes in the new PoA pics. :
