The Hogwarts Express has done it again. Back in February, sparks from its engines set alight more than 100 acres of heath landopens in new window - and yesterday, the train was responsible for ingiting several more firesopens in new window.

The famous Harry Potter Hogwart's Express train left a trail of fire behind it as it steamed along the York to Scarborough line.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said a faulty cinder box had meant red hot cinders were spilling out on to the bone dry trackside.

Several of the smouldering cinders ignited railway sleepers, causing two small fires at Strensall, two at Norton, two at Rillington, near Malton, and a further three at nearby Scagglethorpe.

The locomotive was running without passengers at the time and no one was injured.
