(a trustworthy source) says Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson will NOT be appearing in Mexico at a John Williams concert, as previously reported:
Earlier this week it was reported that Emma and Dan would be appearing as guests for the John Williams concert at the Silvestre Revueltas Room, in the Cultural Centre Ollin Yoliztli, on December 19th, 20th, and 21st.
I am sorry to disappoint all of the Mexican fans out there, but after consulting with official sources at the studio, we have received word that neither Dan or Emma will be in attendance as they have school and filming commitments at that time.
Editor's note: Sorry for getting everyone excited over nothing. It wouldn't have been reported as "fact" if the Associated Press and other news outlets in Mexico hadn't "confirmed" it. In fact, I held out posting the news upon first hearing it, until I saw it come across the wires. Even CNN ran it, so mistakes were made all around, it would seem.

They don't seem to be getting the straight story do they. I am sure many fans will be disappointed with this news. There has been more than one story that turns out not to be true lately. PoA opening in December or maybe March, E! scheduling/cancelling a PoA story, Dan and Emma in Mexico. What next?

But the thing is...why didn't the studio people think of this before? I mean...did they plan ahead before thinking to announce that Daniel and Emma would be in Mexico? Because the new article says that they will have school and filming commitments at that time. Wouldn't it be pretty obcious that they would?

What a bummer! Emma and Dan would have brought a lot of attention to this wonderful musical opportunity, and I worry that not as many people will go if they don't get to meet "the stars," as if John Williams isn't a "star" in his own right! But now the people who were just going to do it for the actors will miss out on the music part. Bummer, bummer.

That IS too bad.... I just hope that this wasn't some stupid ploy to sell more concert tickets. "Oh, yeah, they are coming" and suddenly ticket sales soar.... "oops, sorry, they aren't coming", but can I get my money back? Probably not.

Well, that shows once again that we cannot believe all we read or hear... There was a time you could really count upon it: Once it was written down ("black on white"), it was truth. But this changed with the age of the internet, I believe. There are so many stories around, we have to be getting a little bit more critical again.

You doN't see that all around of Harry Potter is (first of all) commercial!
Check this:
1. They don't have enough of time to put the characters of Digorry, Cho, Pansy... but they have the time to change some scene of the book, like some scenes Ron/Hermione!
2. They choose a date to be sure to have ALL the place: june(no good film will coming out! i had check it!) But..the film is already complete!
3. is simple...they do everythings to have all the eyes on them!(like said that they will present some snippets of Poa!)
And.... one thing that i saw on this article, but i didn't understand...
What mean: filming commitments? Daniel will be in another movie? Emma too?
Huh... warning everybody! Check it out the next News: DANIEL WILL FEATURE IN A MOVIE...

They said that they have some retake and photoshoot and all... they have the trailer to do....
But... Matthiew Lewis, The twins phelps have finished a week a go...i think have read that Gary(Sirius) will finished to turn in the end of october. I don't understand. And Dan and Emma will turn until 21 december...until Xmas, then? It's weird no!

Don't beat up on the studio some of you, saying they do this for attention only. It wasn't Warner Brothers who announced their attendance at the concert in the first place, it was the concert people! OR - it was reported in some newspaper or other that the concert people said they would come. Maybe that wasn't a reliable newspaper. And June has been the official date for a long time, so how they still could talk about a possible release of the film this December or maybe March next year, I don't know - only that should have made us suspicious.
Yes Tom Online, Warner Broothers sure want their publicity, they are a commercial company - but they are NOT holding back a film that is finished already. Where on earth did you get that idea? Just because some of the actors say they are finished with THEIR part of the filming this October doesn't mean all of them are. They can still have many scenes left to shoot that doesn't involve these particular actors. Dan is in virtually every scene, so he might still have filming to do in December, while Emma maybe is back in school. The last information I read had it that 2/3 of the filming was finished. Don't know how reliable that was. But nowhere has anyone said that the film itself is finished. And when it IS, then comes the postproduction, all the editing, that will be a huge job with all the special effects of this film. Heyman used as an explanation for having Newell and not Cuarón to do the fourth film, that Cuarón would still be working on the finishing of Poa when they start filming Goblet in April. So calm down, don't start untimely rumours that there are some plot going on against fans for PR reasons. A phenomenon as big as the Potter books and films, WILL generate a lot of rumours. This "Dan and Emma in Mexico" won't be the last.
