New 'Half-Blood Prince' video game trailer for Nintendo DS appears online  
Yesterday we told you about EA's new Facebook page for their upcoming "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" video game. Earlier the page was updated to include a new trailer for the Nintendo DS version of the game.

New Facebook page for EA's 'Half-Blood Prince' video game online  
A new Facebook page for EA's "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" video game has appeared online. Facebook members who are interested in finding the page on the popular social networking website may do so by searching "Harry Potter Videogame" where they will have the option of becoming a fan.

'HBP' videogame soundtrack available for purchase  
The soundtrack for the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" video game composed by James Harrigan, is now available for download from Amazon. Complete with a track list of 29 songs and running at 57 minutes, the album costs $8.99.

'HBP' video game to be released with movie  
As expected, news today comes from EA Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment that the release of the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" video game will coincide with the release of the movie next summer.

Review & video of 'Half-Blood Prince' video game  
A Nintendo DS review of the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" video game as well as a video are now online. The interview touches on the games, features and once again Quidditch. The video shows Hogwarts grounds and school, Quidditch, dueling and potions class.

Update: 'HBP' video game to be released with movie launch  
EA Games has announced that the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" video game will be released in time for the movie launch later this year. The game will be released on Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, DS, PC, mac and mobile devices. Update: EA Games have just sent us the first image from the game and an early review of the game has appeared online.

Hi-def video 'Tour of Hogwarts' from EA Games UK  
EA Games has sent us a high-definition walkthrough from the "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" video game featuring a 'Tour of Hogwarts,' in which you can view each floor of the school as well as learn what things you can do while playing the game.

Update: 'OotP' movie & game up for Kids BAFTA  
This year's nominees for the kid's BAFTA's, renamed the British Academy Children's Awards, will be officially announced on Monday, October 22, but early information indicates that the "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" movie as well as the game, have been named in the 'Feature Film' and the new games award categories. Update: The official nominee list has been announced.

JK helps 'OotP' game creators with plot, rules & gives her approval  
JK Rowling, author of the "Harry Potter" books helped EA Games with the creation of rules and plot for the newest game. Chris Roberts, who oversaw the games development wanted to create games like Gobstones and Exploding Snap but had no rules, so they forwarded some to JK, which she approved. JK also helped the creators with a certain plot line in the game.

Update: 'Phoenix' video game news  
Fans of the "Harry Potter" video games will have a chance to preview the "Order of the Phoenix" game on the Wii console this Saturday across America. EA games are sending out an early edition of the game to stores for fans to play a week before it's official release. Update: Additionally, new images from the game have appeared online as well as a video of the game for cell phone users.

EA Games launches 'Phoenix' site; video from developers  
EA Games, the official game masters of the "Harry Potter" movies, have launched the game web site to promote the new movie. On the site Moaning Myrtle is your guide and you can view pictures from the games in the different formats, read a story overview and more. Additional, a developer's diary is also online.

'Phoenix' video game pushes PS2, Wii to limit  
Some interesting, new tidbits come out of this week's section of our three-part series looking at the new "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" video game from Electronic Arts. Game designers say they've pushed the seven-year-old PS2 system to its limit, as well as the ability to make magic with the motion-sensitive Nintendo Wii controller.

'Potter' world reimagined in new EA Games title  
Electronic Arts, the company behind the "Harry Potter" video games, set up a "Fan Council" last year to get feedback on what people would most like to see in the upcoming "Order of the Phoenix" game. The first meeting of the council, which included HPANA, was in August 2006 and last Thursday the group was invited back to see what had been achieved in the intervening eight months.

More news on 'Order' video game  
In a follow-up interview with EA Games executive producer, Harvey Elliott, Mr. Elliott gives "Harry Potter" fans additional information on the "Order of the Phoenix" video game. In this new interview he mentions that the game is darker than previous ones and discusses the missions the characters embark on.
