ABC Family to preview 'HBP' & exclusive footage during 'Potter' weekend
Once again ABC Family will be showcasing "Harry Potter" movies during their annual '25 Days of Christmas' schedule. The first four movies will be broadcast during the December 4th - 6th weekend, just before the release of the "Half-Blood Prince" DVD on December 8th as well as exclusive footage from 'Creating the World of Harry Potter' and an advanced look at the 'Close Up with the Cast' piece with. Evanna Lynch.

'Harry Potter' ultimate editions
'Harry Potter' ultimate edition DVD's announced
Following the report that "Harry Potter" extended editions were expected to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray, we can now confirm that this is indeed the case, with all eight films set to be released as "Ultimate Editions," and "Sorcerer's Stone" and "Chamber of Secrets" set for a release date of December 8.

'Potter' movie marathon in NYC's Ziegfeld Theatre
Thanks to Warner Bros. for letting us know that the Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC will be having a "Harry Potter" movie marathon, starting December 19 through December 24. Advance tickets are now available for purchase online.

A new picture from the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" movie has appeared online of Frank Dillane, who plays a teenage Tom Riddle in the movie. The new picture comes with a reminder of the ABC preview of the "Potter" movies which we previously told you a about.

ABC Family to preview 'HBP' during 'Potter' weekend
Over the past few years ABC Family has shown the "Harry Potter" movies during their "25 Days of Christmas" and to continue the tradition this year they will air the first four movies, as well as give previews of the "Half-Blood Prince" movie with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and Michael Gambon.

ABC Family to air first three 'Harry Potter' movies for Christmas
Once again U.S. cable station ABC Family will be airing the first three "Harry Potter" movies, this time as part of their '25 Days to Christmas.' Starting the countdown on November 30th will be the first movie "Sorcerer's Stone," followed by "Chamber of Secrets" and then "Prisoner of Azkaban."

All 'Harry Potter' movies in HD, holiday gift packs
Warner Bros. announced today a collectible gift set and high-definition versions of all the previous "Harry Potter" films, available for purchase Dec. 11 along with the debut of "Order of the Phoenix" on home video. The gift set will include bonus discs featuring a "Hogwarts Challenge" and three hours of all-new content, as well as souvenir bookmarks and trading cards.

'Harry Potter' photos available to own for the first time
For all "Harry Potter" fans you now have a chance to purchase hundreds of pictures taken on the set of the movies. British company Comprints, in coordination with Warner Brothers, is offering pictures, known as 'Unit Photography' for fans with prices ranging from £5 to £40 for canvases.

'Philosopher's Stone'
'Potter' films voted favorites by kids in UK
The first film in the "Harry Potter" series has been voted favorite film by children in Britain. The vote, conducted by First Light Movies, the young people's filmmaking arm of the UK Film Council, received 34 percent of the vote, followed closely by "Prisoner of Azkaban" with 32 percent.

All 'Potter' DVDs to be available in HD DVD
Last July we were one of the first to tell you that Warner Bros. had plans to pull all the first four "Harry Potter" DVDs off store shelves by early 2007. The first three movies were pulled from shelves by December 29, 2006, with "Goblet of Fire" following suit on February 9, 2007. Earlier this morning WB announced that all the movies would be available in HD sometime this year.

Reminder: Potter weekend on ABC Family
A few weeks ago HPANA was the first site to give you the video snippet of an upcoming "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" sneak peek that is scheduled to be shown in the U.S. on the ABC Family station. The preview will be shown during the airing of the extended version of "Prisoner of Azkaban" on Sunday evening.

Harry Potter DVDs
All 'Potter' DVDs to be shelved by 2007
Warner Bros. has confirmed to HPANA that it plans to pull all of the first four "Harry Potter" DVDs off store shelves by early 2007, with no announced plans for their return. First reported by Home Media Retailing Magazine, the move may indicate WB's interest in stoking sales this non-Potter holiday season, or preparing for newer editions of the films on HD-DVD or BluRay technology.

'GoF' surpasses 'PoA' in U.S. box office receipts
With only five weeks in release in the U.S. "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" has surpassed "Prisoner of Azkaban" in box office receipts. 'PoA' was in theatres in the U.S. for over 17 weeks and garnered a grand total of $249.5 million, while 'GoF' has now reached $252.5 million after just five weeks.
