'Harry Potter' ultimate editions
'Harry Potter' ultimate edition DVD's announced
Following the report that "Harry Potter" extended editions were expected to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray, we can now confirm that this is indeed the case, with all eight films set to be released as "Ultimate Editions," and "Sorcerer's Stone" and "Chamber of Secrets" set for a release date of December 8.

'Potter' movie marathon in NYC's Ziegfeld Theatre
Thanks to Warner Bros. for letting us know that the Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC will be having a "Harry Potter" movie marathon, starting December 19 through December 24. Advance tickets are now available for purchase online.

ABC Family secures rights to 'OotP' & 'HBP'
Variety has announced that ABC Family has recently made a deal with Warner Brothers for 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and "Half-Blood Prince." ABC Family now owns the rights to show all six existing films on their television network.

Emma Watson wins Constellation Award
Emma Watson, from the "Harry Potter" movies, won the 'Best Female Performance in a 2007 Science Fiction Film, TV Movie, or Mini-Series' award at this year's Constellation Awards, which was held in Toronto, Canada, on July 12th.

'OotP' garners four EMA Home Entertainment award nominations
The "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" movie is one of two movies that lead the EMA Home Entertainment Awards. The DVD of the movie has four nominations in the Family Title of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Packaging Campaign of the Year, and Sell-Through Title of the Year A Major Studio categories.

Radcliffe & Leung nominated for 'Best Kiss' at this year's MTV Movie Awards
Daniel Radcliffe and Katie Leung have been nominated in the 'Best Kiss' category for their roles in the "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" movie at this year's MTV movie awards. The show will air live on June 1st.

Update: 'Potter' actors attend Empire Awards, Yates wins 'Best Director'
This weekend, the Empire Awards were held in London and David Yates walked away with the 'Best Director' award for his work on 'Order of the Phoenix'. Numerous 'Harry Potter' actors were also in attendance, including Emma Watson, Evanna Lynch and Katie Leung. Pictures of the event can be seen online. Update: In a video interview from the event David Yates mentions talks of him directing "Deathly Hallows."

'Order of the Phoenix' wins again
Chalk up another award for the "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" movie. The movie won the award for Movie of the Year at the British and Irish exhib/distrib industry's RAAM Awards, held tonight at London's Millennium Hotel. Additionally, Warner Bros. won Distributor of the Year at the ceremony.

'Order of the Phoenix' receives 6 Empire Awards nominations
The fifth movie in the "Harry Potter" franchise, "Order of the Phoenix," has received six nominations in this year's Sony Ericsson Empire Awards 2008. Actors Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson are both named in the best actor/actress categories, while director for David Yates is included in the best director category. The film is also included in the best sci-fi/fantasy film, best film and best soundtrack categories respectively.

'Order of the Phoenix' receives Golden Tomato award
Once again the "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" movie has received an award. The ninth annual Golden Tomato awards honors the best-reviewed movies of 2007 and the fifth movie in the franchise received the number one spot in the Sci-fi/Fantasy category.

'Order of the Phoenix' nominated for BAFTA's Film Awards
The nominees for this year's BAFTA's Film Awards have been finalized and the "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" movie has received two nominations for production design and special visual effects. The movie had original been on the BAFTA's longlists of nominees in six categories which announced earlier this month.

'OotP' most successful 2007 film at UK & Ireland box office
The fifth movie in the "Harry Potter" franchise, "Order of the Phoenix" was the most successful film at the UK and Ireland box office in 2007 with a final box office tally of £49.4 million ($97.8 million).
