National Braille Press announce online auction for complete signed set of 'Harry Potter' books
The National Braille Press has just announced that their online auction featuring a rare complete edition of the "Harry Potter" novels, signed by J.K. Rowling, is now open. The auction, to support the 'Hands On! Books for Blind Children gala,' is open from today through October 25th and will finalize with a gala event on October 26th hosted by "Tonight Show" host, Jay Leno.

Blind fans being cheated?
Blind fans of the Harry Potter series report skyrocketing prices for the various versions of the latest Harry Potter novel - and, for the most part, they are not taking it well.

First seven Braille OotP volumes ship soon
Sightless children will soon be able to start reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Next Monday, July 14, the first seven volumes of the 13-book Braille edition will ship from National Braille Press in Boston, Mass. The remaining books are due out two weeks later.

Aid needed to finish Braille Potter 5 edition
A community service group in Boston is calling for Harry Potter fans to help them finish collating the Braille edition of Order of the Phoenix. Get the details here.

Braille version of book 5 weighs in at 13 volumes
The staff of 49 at the National Braille Press is producing an unusually high volume of pages from this converted piano factory near Boston's Symphony Hall. They hope to ship 500 braille versions of J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" within three weeks of the book's June 21 release date.
