In an interview from December with "Harry Potter" book illustrator Mary GrandPré discusses that she doesn't know anything about book 7 and has not decided on a color for the cover. She also mentions that she would like to paint Hagrid in color and that her favorite book color is the blue one for "Order of the Phoenix."

This week's issue of "Entertainment Weekly" features "The 122 People & Things we Love This Summer - The Must List." Included on this list at number 13 is Ralph Fiennes, who will be portraying Lord Voldemort in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" in November and "Harry Potter" illustrator Mary GrandPré at number 69. The magazine also has a small tidbit on the selling of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." Mr. Fiennes had this to say on playing Voldemort: "My inclination was to underplay it, but you can't underplay Voldemort."

The Scholastic cover by Mary GrandPré shows in much more detail Harry and Dumbledore surrounded by tree branches. UPDATE: We now have a very high-quality version.

The British and American publishers of "Harry Potter" have posted the jacket covers for "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." The children's versions by Jason Cockcroft, shows Harry and Dumbledore in rings of fire and the adult version is from a photograph by Michael Wildsmith showing a tattered "Advanced Potion-Making" book. The American version shows Harry and Dumbledore looking into what seems to be a pensive.
