Finalists announced in Amazon competition to review 'Tales of the Beedle the Bard' in London
In April we told you of the Amazon competition in which a fan could win a chance to review the "Tales of the Beedle the Bard" book that Amazon bought late last year. Now the two finalists have been announced and voting can begin for the weekend prize.

Last year we told you of a court battle in which "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling lost the privacy rights case involving her son. Ms. Rowling appealed that this decision and today won the appeal. The case revolved around the publication of long-lens photographs taken of her son when he was 18 months old in 2004.

The "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" movie is one of two movies that lead the EMA Home Entertainment Awards. The DVD of the movie has four nominations in the Family Title of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Packaging Campaign of the Year, and Sell-Through Title of the Year A Major Studio categories.

Confirmed: 'Deathly Hallows' part 1 to hit screens November 19, 2010
Last month it was announced that the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" movie would be released in two parts. We now have confirmation from Warner Bros. on reports this morning that the first of the two movies will be released on November 19, 2010.

Update: 'Harry Potter: The Exhibition' to open Spring 2009
The Becker Group and Warner Bros. Consumer Products announced today that it will bring worldwide "Harry Potter: The Exhibition," highlighting artifacts from the Warner Bros. films based on J.K. Rowling's franchise. The exhibit will premiere in Spring 2009 in "a major market," and will appear in ten or more cities around the world throughout a five-year span. UPDATE: The official web site is now online.

'Potter' actors to participate in children's film festival
Actors Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) and Jamie Yates (Marcus Flint) from the "Harry Potter" movies will be in attendance at the first ever Cinemagic Film & Television Festival in Dublin, Ireland, starting today. The festival runs through May 1st and will include films, masterclasses with film and television industry guests and workshops.
