DETROIT, MI (PNN) -- A new study from St. Mungo's released today found that wizards -- children in particular -- are becoming more overweight.
It reports that obesity is a bigger risk to children than potion experiments or splinching, and requests the Magical Maladies Administration do something about it.
The amount of people reporting to St. Mungo's for Muggle obesity issues has doubled in the last decade. The report states that it is a community issue -- not just a problem to be handled inside the home.
Madam Malkin, proprietor Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions has also seen this trend.
"The house robes for Hogwarts keep getting larger and larger. I think it's all that food they eat there. Have you ever seen one of those feasts? No wonder those kids are getting fatter!"
Yet, robes aren't the only things being affected. The Broom Regulatory Control Board has recently announced warnings asking broom manufacturers to label how much weight their model can hold. Serious safety issues could be raised if people do not heed these warnings.
