Highland News
reports:
Roly-poly Scots actor Robbie Coltrane
could have been forgiven for being beside himself yesterday as Hagrid in the latest Harry Potter blockbuster. For not one, or even two – but three Robbie lookalikes were drafted in on location for the filming of the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban blockbuster in Glencoe.
The three well-fed, and well-built doubles (or is that trebles?) included former England rugby international Martin Bayfield, who stands at 6ft 10ins. And two largish local men, who bear more than a passing resemblance to Robbie, have also identified with the role of Hagrid.
Thanks to Geri for this tip.

Lol.. there should be a huge Hagrid convention.
Yeah, what they say is that the suit is too heavy and hot for Robbie Coltrane to do a lot of filming and moving in and he can only last for a few minutes where as his other counterparts can last upto three times as long making it more efficient

As Carl said, I also heard that the doubles are here because the suit & shoes are heavy and hot to be in the set for more than 15 minutes.
I'd say it is a great chance for Robbie to go on a diet. grin :-)
