Earlier this month, reader LuciusGirl (identified as "Nixicarbon" then) directed us to a photo gallery of some of the Lacock Abbey scenery used in the first two Harry Potter movies.
Now she's found a new gallery and 360 degrees virtual tour
from the BBC of Gloucester Cathedral, which was converted from a church into Hogwarts to be used for several parts of the movies:
The monks who once lived at St Peter's Abbey, Gloucester, would have been astonished if they had known that the corridors where they walked and studied would one day be recognised worldwide - and all because of a boy wizard called Harry Potter.
Movie magic transformed the beautiful fan-vaulted cloisters of Gloucester Cathedral into the corridors of Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the films Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Wow! I'm from Germany, too, and maybe I can visit the places where they made the HP movies next year. I'm also interested in the history of Gloucester Cathedral. Sounds all very interesting.

That place seemed a lot more inviting in the films than it does in these photos. Sadly I have good authority in saying that Gloucester nor Lackok will not be used as filming locations during the production of PoA.
