Michael Morrisson, an upstart actor who recently had filmed his part as Joshua Herdman's stunt double in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, has been selected to continue
his bid for Pop Idol.
One can only wish Michael the best in his pursuit (and wonder why a stunt double for Gregory Goyle would be needed in Prisoner of Azkaban.
Millions of viewers watched Michael Morrisson, 23, of Corporation Street, win his place on Saturday. A total of 20,000 applicants had entered the show.
Along with the remaining hopefuls, he will sing live on TV with viewers voting for who goes through to the next round.
Each week ten contestants will perform with two progressing.
Michael said: "I'm over the moon. I'm well chuffed and feeling really confident."

Interesting... There's a singer among the actors. I wonder if he ever entertained on the filming site. By the way, isn't 23 a little much for a stunt double of a thirteen year old. Other than that, congrats to Mr. Morrisson

I have to go along with Prongs150 - 23 is a bit old. What does Goyle need a stunt double for anyway?

Thats awesome, and they need older people for doubles because if they had a kid it would be pointless seeing that they can work no more than 4 hourse a day what a pain in the ass for the director and crew, use your brain now!!!

Strange - I'm searching my memory but I find no scene with Crabbe or Goyle that makes a stunt double necessary... I mean in PoA Crabbe & Goyle are just acting as Draco's bodyguards as usual. Strange. Can't wait for the 4th of June to come, then we'll know...

I can see the director using a stunt double to align the equipment before shooting the scenes. That way everything is being set up while the real actors are at lessons. Maybe the parents have required stunt doubles.
I don't think that 23 is too old for a stunt double. The woman who plays moaning myrtle is over 30. In the movie she looks like a student. The only action I can think of in the book is when Draco, Goyle, and Crabbe get attacked by Harry's Patronus during the Quitich match.

Malakite, hey, well obviously they won't make a close up but the height and other things make reality show. I think it would be much better looking for a double of Goyle's age.

Alright - is this American idols or English idols because I haven't got a clue.
Michael will probably be able to get a lot more money from winning idols than from being a stunt double, so good for him.
However personally I think that working in the Harry Potter films would be ten times as fun!

Wow that is so cool. i love joshua herdman! didn't get to enjoy much of him cause i barely remember seeing him in the scenes with draco and crabbe. hopefully he gets more screentime next time
