Professor Flitwick (or, err...Warwick Davis) has agreed to be hosted
at the "Megacon 2004" convention in Orlando, Florida. One of two media celebrities to gift their presence at the gathering, Davis will obviously be open to fan input and comments at the time.
Megacon is returning to the Orange County Convention Center in Orange County, Florida. Fun hopefully will be had for all involved.

jerbear: I have seen Willow and loved it. Davis played the title role of a little person who wanted to become a wizard and went on a great quest with a not so knight in shining armor (Val Kilmer) and several wonderful characters he met along the way.
Warwick Davis is an excellent actor, no matter what his size.

That's interesting enough. I wonder what it means by "open to fan input and comments." Can the fans inquire about the third movie? Hmmm... musn't get ahead of myself. Good for the Floridians, but not cool for everyone else. I think a mega convention would be neat.

My daughter and I saw Davis in one of the "Leprechaun" movies, a horror- type movie...it was strange to see him in a role where he is so vicious, compared to harmless Prof. Flitwick. Guess that is part of the fun of being an actor, you get to do all sorts of different things. I wonder which was more fun for him to do? (If I was in Florida, I could ask him!!) I think there were 4 or 5 Leprechaun movies made, but definitely would not be for kids, from the bit I saw!

When are they going to have one of these "cons" in Dallas? I want to meet some of these people! They all look like a bunch of really great people - not to mention they are in some of my favorite stories of all time!

Warwick Davis is indeed an incredible actor. As already mention he was Willow and the Leprechaun, but he also has been a staple of the Star Wars franchise since "Return of the Jedi". He played Wicket (the main Ewok); he's been in both of the Ewoks movies and was a host of characters in "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace". He was also in "Labyrinth" and the TV mini-series "The 10th Kingdom" along with a slew of other films.

I always wondered how the Flitwick-actor looks in real live - it amazes me that he was the Leprechaun!
As for the role itself, I like tiny Prof. Flitwick, especially after Ootp, when he speaks up to Umbridge. Tiny, but very brave, our Flitwick!

I'm glad to see others than the main characters getting some attention for their work in the Harry Potter movies. Professor Flitwick is a great adult character, not so much because he is one of the main ones, but because of his character.

If the actor really that short. If the LotR, Gimli is really the tallest of the cast even though he's the dwarf. Did they do something like that for P. Flitwick?

That is so cool! Hes coming to the US! Just wish he was coming to the West coast not the East! O-well...Congrates to everyone in Florida who gets to go see him! He was a little scarey in the movie but on the Chamber of Secrets DVD, on the special part where they interviewed the cast members, he seemed really really nice. Good job for him!
