The Hindi translation of the global hit Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone will finally be published on November 14
.
Manjul Publishing House will release 40,000 copies of Harry Potter aur Paras Pathar which was translated by Sudhir Dixit, a professor of English from Hoshangabad, who says he has read the original 35 times. Apart from the chapters being vetted by an 11-year-old for readability, the final version will have some changes in translation, but Quidditch remains Quidditch.

Rons KTLady, you can probably check with a big bookstore in your area, I think I saw them in stock at our local Barnes & Noble at one time. If they don't have it, maybe they can order it for you, or any other bookstore could probably order it for you. Try online at Amazon, B&N, ebay, or write to the publisher; it isn't an impossible task. I know they're out there somewhere!

So let me get this straight, The Order of the Phineox just came our in Icelandic, but The Scorcorers Stone is just coming out in Hindi? Wow. It seems a bit odd to me. If I was a publisher I would have had it printed in Hindi a long time ago.

The spanish version Of OOTP doesn't come out until next year, so you'll have to wait for that, but the other books are already translated. Actually that's how I got hooked on Harry Potter. I read COS in Spanish, loved it, and then read the rest in English.

A while ago, I heard that the only book that had been translated into more languages than Harry Potter was the Bible. I wonder if this is still true, or if HP has surpased it O.o That would be odd....
