So when is a doodle considered magical? When an actor from the Harry Potter movies draws it, of course - and then puts it up for sale to raise money for The Neurofibromatosis Association
and Epilepsy Action
.
According to National Doodle Day
's webpage at eBay
, where a list of all the celebrities' doodles can be viewed, more than 300 personalities from the worlds of sport, entertainment, theatre, business and politics have joined forces to support the initiative, which will culminate on Friday, February 27.
A host of famous names, including Sir Elton John, Chris Tarrant, Alan Titchmarsh, Arsene Wenger, Stephen Gerrard, Cherie Blair, Clare Short, Sir Richard Branson, Claudia Schiffer, Manolo Blahnik, Pete Waterman, Sarah Duchess of York, Dermot O’Leary, and children’s characters The Tweenies and the Teletubbies, have already produced their doodles for the campaign.
You click on each of the following names to check out their doodling:
Michael Gambon
(Professor Dumbledore)
Robbie Coltrane
(Rubeus Hagrid)
Julie Walters
(Molly Weasley)
Richard Griffiths
(Vernon Dursley)
Miriam Margolyes
(Professor Sprout)
Zoe Wanamaker
(Madame Hooch)

Although their skills at drawing are not what you would call artistic, I certainly want to buy them, for they are from the cast of the Harry Potetr films. I doubt I could afford to surpass the highest bid though...

These are great. While they are just doodles and not very artistic, they are from the actors and it's to help raise money for a good cause. Probably more than I want to spend though.

Orlando's Obsession!, you can't have been an HP fan for very long - Julie Walters is the Weasley's mum!
These are very cool! It would be nice to have one in my home... to go along with all the other HP memorabilia I have collected.
No one has bid on Julie's yet - maybe I can be the first!

They're so great!! Some of them are so detailed, but I thin I like Michael Gambon's best ;) It's super cool of them to be raising money for charity with their doodles ;) It's nuts how much some people will pay for that kind of stuff! All the better for the cause ;)

Neat! Too bad none of the kids participated in this one as well. They have quite the list of celebrities. I hope the charities get a lot of money, they're definitely good causes.

Great collector's item. Looks like the bidding will go high though. That's good for the charity, bad for HP fans with not much money.

I think its really nice that so many HP actors "doodled" and then donated them to raise money. Its a nice charity that takes only a little time, and then has a potential to make a lot of money. I though most of them were quite good (well, compared to my doodles, which are horrible.) However,I though Michael Gambon's was the best. It was so cute!

I want them all... geez. I can go on eBay, and watch the items in my dad's account, but I don't think I'll end up bidding on one (they're already at, what, 8 pounds each, and there's still 5 days to go). Ah...
