New 'Azkaban' toys previewed from Mattel

has some pictures of new toys from the "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" movie that were previewed at the Toy Fair this past weekend.

Personally, I think the dementor one looks very good. The detail seems pretty good for this type of toy. I am sure the kids will have a good time with them.

The dementor toy released by Mattel for Prisoner of Azkaban, in my view, as well as other posters at HPANA from the posts I have read; appears to be an utter insult to their creepiness; Harry look as if he is a drunk hippie in the figure of him; and the Lupin-Werewolf toy is just lame. The upcoming merchadise has completely ruined the more mature essence I had hoped to come along with this film. Maybe if J.K. Rowling would throw in undoubtedly mature themes in books six and seven, the dull-witted merchandise would finally cease....
